Schedule sets up nicely this year. Have to like their chances this year with only having to travel to Tx Tech & Kansas as far as teams capable of beating them (Colorado shouldn't be much of a threat). Oklahoma actually looks like the only obsticle in their way.

Also, we saw what happened when they brought in a DC from Auburn, they won the BCS Championship. DC Will Muschamp will bring a lot of enthusiasm with his relentless, aggressive style of defense.

Watch out for this team as well as UCLA!

Anyone like FAU +23 at the Horns? Not blown away by UT's O and FAU is experienced with a good QB and good O.

IMO, UCLA will be a joke along with the rest of the Pac-10 (other than USC, of course).

Texas will only be very good if Muschamp pulls some magic out of his ass, Mack coaches with the same fire he did for the Holiday Bowl and OC Davis earns his paycheck and actually does something creative on offense. Texas has talent but the coaching is a little iffy. Their OL, DL and QB are solid. WR position is OK and their RB position is often quite good. Their LB and DB are the big ?

You can have Muschamp.

Texas will start out 4-0, and then it could get really ugly really quickly. For me, they will be an underdog to win each of their next three games. Obviously they are very unlikely to be an underdog at Colorado, and the Mizzou @ Texas line will probably be between pk and Texas -3, but I'd expect 1-2 in that stretch.

Oklahoma State goes up and down the field on Texas every year, and could pull off an upset. I think Texas Tech will beat the Longhorns pretty easily, and you'd have to think Kansas is a favorite to beat Texas at this point. This really looks like an 8-4 team to me.

Other than last year when they only beat Ark. St. by 8 they usually play pretty well in home openers against non-conference opponents.

56-7 against North Texas
60-3 against La. Lafayette
65-0 against North Texas
66-7 against New Mexico State

granted VY and Benson won't be coming out of the tunnel for the Longhorns I still think they cover at home against FAU here.
