HOUSTON (AP) - Houston Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson has been fined $25,000 by the team for the "pay me Rick" shoes he wore during Sunday's game.

Robinson was given the fine for conduct detrimental to the team. It was first reported by the Houston Chronicle.

The shoes targeted general manager Rick Smith. Robinson has been upset that he and the Texans were unable to reach a long-term contract despite signing his franchise tender more than a week ago.
He says he won't appeal the fine, but told The Associated Press on Thursday that he wants to talk to Smith about the money being donated to a Boys and Girls Club or a needy family.
Robinson started Sunday after less than a week of practice and had one tackle in Houston's 24-7 loss to the New York

He turned down $23 million in guaranteed money before the season began and now has to "suffer" this season making about $10 million.

If it wasn't for football, his shoes would say, "how do you like your burger done?"

The Texans should have gotten rid of Dunta Robinson the moment he didn't show up for training camp.....The moment the Texans realized a contract with $23 million in guaranteed money wasn't going to be enough they should have gotten rid of him.

When I saw the video of Robinson in the locker room after the game, I was upset because he did not look nearly like he felt as bad as I did about the loss! ....He talked about himself. He had "missed tackles" and that they could be corrected....Nothing really about the team
