If the Cubs and White Sox played each other in this year's World Series (I said, if) what would you make the Series price? Keep in mind, the AL now has home field advantage this year.

Sox -116
Cubs +108

They are both very solid teams this year. Cubs might even be the better team. Money will be on the Sox though. Especially with the extra game at home.

This one is a no brainer, as home field is important to note to see who will be favored. Now we all know that the White Sox would have the home field because of the A.L. winning the All Star game.

The line on this game would be

White Sox -135
Cubs +115

in a series like that, the cubs would be favored, due to the fact that only 3 pitchers will start....

the cubs would send Prior vs. Loiza (adv cubs)

Wood vs Colon (slight adv to the cubs)

Zambrano vs. Buehrle (even)

therefore i would say the cubs would be -120, sox +100

Sox -160, but I would bet the cubs until they win a game doublibg up, then ride the -160 on the Sox. Just don't want a Sox sweep, lol!

Although I may be a tad low on the White Sox...dont forget the huge public backing that the CUBS would garnish!!!!

How can you boys make the Cubs favored in this series? Not even close boys. The extra home game is worth a lot in post season. Did you guys know that the White Sox have one of the best home records in the A.L at 46-25..

No way the White Sox are not favored in this series. NOT A PRAYER...

I'm not sure on the price, but as BucsFan mentioned, you're talking about three pitchers, not the full rotation, and Comiskey is not that far from Wrigley, so that diminishes the home field.

Think if you average out the odds of SG and myself....you would have a pretty strong opening number.

WHITE SOX between -121 & -125

It's really impossible to say right now. Got to see how the teams play in the interim. Naturally if they make it there then they're both playing well, but there's a lot in between. Depending on how they play either could be favored so right now it's -105/-105 (Pinnacle-style). Home field doesn't mean that much, both teams would be cheered and booed at both places.

Vegas will cry either way though, word is they are on the hook BIG TIME on both teams. Heard a report on the radio that Stardust said it would be a "black armband day" if eithter team won it. Both were bet heavy at 30-1 and 25-1 before the year largely from those nutty Chicagoans who comprise the largest visiting contingent this side of the Mississippi. In the past it's been easy money for them. Might bite them in the arse this year! To stem the tide they've slahsed the odds to 8-1 and 7-1, can anyone confirm this? Vegas doesn't have to worry about me though, I got 50-1 online just weeks ago.

-110 both ways with the majority of bettors driving the line toward the Cubs.

Ok boys, it's obvious this line is going everywhere. From WSox -150 to Cubs -135. We have a range of 85 cents to play with here. I say we will never really know as we can all talk out of our ass, we are getting nowhere here and will never know, unless they meet in the WSeries and we pull this thread back up. So i will say this.

The only way we know is we bring in an odds guy who actually makes the odds.. I say we bring in either Pete K of the LVSC, or bring in Spiro for a unusual drop in visit to tell us what the series price would be if these same 2 teams met in the W.Series.

At least we can finally put an end to this and see who is right here and who is wrong..

Well, Spiro, Pete K, anyone can help here??
