He had his introduction to the big stage against USC. He played liked a scared freshman but has made tremendous strides since that game.

OSU will be able to run the ball against Texas which will allow Pryor to get out on the edge a la Vince Young.

Bucks cover and probably win this STRAIGHT UP!

Boekman started and played most of the game. Boekman was the QB that played like a scared frosh agains USC, and he's a 6th year senior! Pryor will be more than fine tonight.

Does Penn State have a defense? Where was it last Thursday?

Here's a chart you might want to take a look at:
http://cfbstats.com/2008/leader/national/team/offense/split01/category20/sort01.html

Brian Orakpo and Sergio Kindle are looking foward to getting to know the true freshman taking snaps for Ohio State.

I am sure that Jim Tressel who is 3-0 in Fiesta Bowls hasn't forgotten to account for either Orakpo or Kindle. As good as a couple of players on the front of their defense might be, there are obviously holes elsewhere or else we would be talking about a top 10, or 20, or 30, or 40 defense.

I got to watch Pryor live through his high school days and I'm excited to watch him play tonight. I'm laying off this game and hoping I can just enjoy a good football game :103631605

Texas plays in the Big 12. With the offenses there you're not going to see any nation-leading defenses coming out of the conference.

Texas has a real defensive weakness against a good passing game. If the game comes down to Pryor's ability to pass... well, he can't pass. He's averaged about 8 completions a game. Graham Harrell completes 8 passes on one good Texas Tech drive.

I give you props for glossing over Tressel's recent BCS record by limiting your scope to Fiesta Bowls. It's a nice way to spin it.

Here is possibly the biggest key to the game !!!!! If you are betting on Texas to cover, you have to consider this. :103631605 alwatts

OSU's passing offense is hardly a key to the game. The two keys are whether or not OSU will be successful against a Texas D that has done well against the rush (but played a large majority of passing offenses in the Big 12) and if Texas' offense is as good as advertised. Because if their offense is only as good as Ttech, Mizzou, and OK State (who all failed to cover, with 2 of the 3 losing, to teams with worse defenses than OSU), then Ohio State will cover. If McCoy has a kind of day that he is used to having against Big 12 defenses, than OSU will not have a chance.

These "D: rankings don't mean a thing, perfect examples are South Carolina be rated 12th & Alabama 6th. They get these rankings from playing for the most part teams inside their conference & th SEC offensively has had a down year(tenn, vandy, auburn, miss st, south carolina) . IMO the Big 10 has also struggled offensively this year so OSU "D" may not be as good as #'s show. Big 1-4 so far in bowls.
