dipping a toe into the shark infested tennis waters this week. 3 tournaments to look at and the top players are spread around them. will be taking it slow to start the season, lost a bit at the aussie open (bet against federer twice, doh).

going to chile for the first pick of the week, have a look at ferrer over zabaleta can still get a bit more than even$ (down a bit from the opening price). zab's first tournament since injury last season, had lost 7 or 8 matches in a row prior to that. ferrer typical spaniard solid clay courter.

early afternoon match

ferrer +104

good luck,
mj

will try another Spaniard today, Portas +150 vs Volandri (Chile tournament again)

looks like this one goes early, 8:00 pacific.

good luck all,

mj

Hey there. I was wondering if you could give me a little info on the match you chose for the day. I am looking to throw down on it, and was just wondering your opinion on why you like Portas? Thanks for your time if you have the time to reply. Good luck!!

i usually go to livescore.com but they seemed to be really slow on this game. yeah, it sucks. i hope he can come back, but it seems like he is getting the crap beat out of him.. i cant win a tennis game for anything.. that sucks. ohh well, good luck my friend hopefully something good can happen.

sorry for the losers guys, i'm sure it will turn around.

justin, as far as how i come up with my plays, for the most part i use statistical models. i have access to 3 different sources that i compare the results, and then to my own ratings system. the models are all different in their approaches. when the models agree i then look for reasons not to take the play (ie a guy is injured or had bad travel or very weak recent form that might not be reflected in the models). i also try to read as much as possible, info sites, chats etc and lastly i use my gut/experience. tennis, like most other gambling endeavors is a grind, there will be up and down streaks and you just have to hope that your hard work and knowledge can win out in the end.

good luck

mj

MeMphis plays

Jan Mike over Dent-

Dent has back promblem, Jan Mike is focused. Taylor doesnt do well vs big serve. Taylor is serve and volley off of 2nd serve.

Melzer over Valhaly

Valhaly has no weapons, Melzer playing well.
