My book had Ljubicic at +140 against Querrey yesterday but just found out that Udomchoke replaced him and lost. Shouldn't this bet be graded as no action? I couldn't find any rules for this situations. Does anyone know the rules when a player is replaced by another but the original player's name is still used in the betting window?

I'm sure the rule everywhere is that both players named in the matchup must start, and then there are various rules as to how long they must play for the bet to be valid.

Sounds like your book simply didn't know of the changed matchup.

Inform them of it.

Thanks. My book changed the bet from lost to cancel by the time I got home. Now they have my Kunitsyn bet as canceled even though Dimitrov retired in the 3rd set. I'll give them couple more hours before I call and complain.

Whenever a player retires all bets are voided on the match... even if the player you bet on is up 2 sets to love and winning 5-0 in the 3rd set.

This is not true.

Retirement or Disqualification:

  1. Head to Head Matchups:

Two full sets must be completed for wagers to stand. If less than 2 sets are completed, all wagers will be considered void.

Example: Federer 6-3, 4-6, 2-0 (Roddick retired due to injury). All wagers stand. Federer declared the winner while Roddick is deemed the loser.

There is no standard bookmaker rule on how long the match must go on to be action.

Read the rules at whatever book you choose to bet at, if this will be a concern.
