Ten Breakout Teams for 2016:

1. Louisville (Talented and dangerous...watch out Tigers and Noles)
2. Washington (All signs point toward a great season)
3. Texas A&M (Still top-end talent on hand)
4. Texas (It's time and there's a sense of urgency in Austin)
5. Pittsburgh (Solid coach laying a solid foundation)
6. Minnesota (No Ohio State, Michigan or Michigan State on schedule)
7. Nebraska (Can't be as "unlucky" as last year)
8. Miami (New coach, new attitude, good players)
9. Penn State (Better without quarterback Hackenberg)
10. UConn (Just maybe this year's Temple team)

Interesting stuff. What are your thoughts about the Gators this year?

Most people here at the forum think I way off base but I like Florida to win the SEC East again this
season. The offense will be much better and the defense is going to be STRONG! I like the Gators.

not sure why you think people would call this way off base. the general consensus is the East will be a 3-team race with Florida, Tenny, and UGA. I lean to the best QB and most experienced team...Tenn. But of course Florida is in the equation

obviously helps that USCe, Vandy, UK, and Mizzouri all blow :)

The general consensus here at theRX CFB forum is by far Tennessee...with a couple liking Georgia.
I don't recall another poster here picking Florida including the any bookmakers.

We shall see when toe meets leather...can't wait.

Agree with you on Nebraska. I think they win the B10 West. Last year I was down on UW, and as I remember Vegas had their win total at O/U 4 which they blew away. They may have been a year early, but I can see them taking a step BACK this year from last year.

Wash St
Improving defense and they return one of the top QB's in the country and most of their skill players are back. Defensively, they started getting some stops at the end of the season and they also created TO's which helped them.

San Diego St - I think they are going to be really, really good. Punishing run game and improving defense.

Interesting list clover. With Narduzzi at Pitt, I think there is big upside potential. Am i the only one who still attempts to stay away from any Pitt bet even though the stache hasn't been there in years?

I like Louisville, hard to leave out a Petrino team.

And I think anyone planning on A&M having a good season is smoking something good. I hope i'm wrong. With Turner back coaching the OL, that is a huge plus. I still dont know about Mazzone, it seems like UCLA was glad to be rid of him. The RB position is a huge question mark.

They will have to survive opening two games, E Washington is far from a push over then at Boise St they then open a brutal four game stretch to open conference play. They could easily open the season with 3 conference losses in their first four games. I like what they doing just hard to see them overcoming this years schedule.

Pitt will be in line for a special season if they can find a playmaker at WR. Boyd was big for them and easily most talented kid on offense but his effort given was meager, at best. Their OLine is tremendous returning nearly 130 career starts and Dline got a big boost when Price was granted an extra year of eligibility. Lots of depth at LB and secondary is very experienced and led by one of ACC's best players, Whitehead. Special teams is very good, RB group is really strong and talented but WR group is just not very good but got some big news that Tre Tipton was given a medical redshirt for last year. Some interesting freshman coming at WR with 4-star Flowers and super-fast Ffrench but probably need Weah to get close to Boyd's production to win 8 or 9 games this year. QB Peterman is serviceable...all you really need in a run-heavy Narduzzi offense

schedule is tough but not impossible. if they lose at home in week 2 they might implode for 6-6 but i expect 8-4/9-3

Good stuff WinOne. I disagree with you on Nebraska but I'm really on board with you regarding San Diego State. We
really like Rocky Long as a coach and he has some really good players on this year's team. Should be a good ATS
team by the end of the season.

I'm a big Mike Leach supporter mainly because of what he did at Texas Tech. Ever been to Lubbock, Texas. Been
once and don't care to go again. Not many top tier players want to wind up at Pullman, Washington either. He's
a strange dude but he wins with less....proven that!

I love Minnesota this year, senior QB, good running game and no Ohio State, Michigan or Michigan State. Over 6 wins is my best bet this year.
