Ok, I know this is the area that all the bashing goes on, and I dont mind be calling a *** or loser or whatever. I just have a serious question and figured it would get more views in here than I would in another area. Id love to put it in college football but I dont think that would make the MODS happy.

Anyways, Ive been an unemployed product that came from the entire lending crisis. I did commercial loans for a while and now have been looking for other work as I find something perm. I got a job through an employment agency that is just a 2 month gig and was told that I was hired. Its a group of 12 of us that are going to do some audit work for a health company. Anways, I did the bacjground check through the employment agency and the client had requested another one be done through a 3rd party. All went just perfect.

I report to my job mid next week, but after I got home I didnt think and smoked a bowl. I hadnt smoked in 3 months since losing my job, but Im afraid this one bowl will cost me. Would an employment agency conduct the drug test before assigning me to a company? I would think so and thats why I smoked. I never thought that the company would test me AFTER I had been placed. If they requested a background check from the agency, wouldnt a drug test (if needed) had been done at that time?

An agency cannot legally test you, it has to be done by the primary, whom of which is the main party!

Are you sure? I have read most places that the compnay requests this when they go to the temp agency to find employees.

Most temp agencys test anybody.... If youre a Trucker thru a Driver service you have to be tested per DOT regs. Pre Employment,random,Post accident & reasonable cause.

Actually, only a minority of temporary or fulltime employment agencies demand a urine sample prior to employment.

But it's up to each agency and/or company. In America, private companies are free to demand urine samples before hire.

After hire, they can demand urine samples without cause provided the tests are administered in a 'random' fashion and do not target an employee based on race, color, creed or gender (essentially EEOC regs apply).

Government agencies cannot legally demand a urine sample either pre-employment or during employment except in very few jobs.

In PA there has been a lot of shit with HIPPA (privacy) so the window of exposure was narrowed down to eliminate parties that did not need to know, these other opinions could very well be correct, I'd just stop smoking or whatever and drink a ton of green tea, good luck!

My company hires through temp agencies all the time, and YES, we test temp workers upon their conversion to permanent employment. However, there is a 90-day probationary period upon hire before they are considered for conversion to permanent.

Not sure if this will help, but just my 2 cents...

I used this to pass mine. If I had any say in it we wouldn't test anyone, but I'm not that high up the ladder...

Go to a GNC (Health Store). They have product that you can drink to mask/eliminate the drugs in your system. A very good friend of mine has used it on a few occasions and has always passed.

Use Golden Seal or just drink a shit load of tea all morning before you go.

Spoonful of vinegar in a gallon of water or a drop of bleach will yield the same results. Ice Tea is much tastier and works just as good.
