UConn;

PG Jalen Adams is going to be their next stud, PG play is what hurt this team last year. Adams emerged late in his freshmen year, ready to take the reigns this year

Purvis is going to be a productive 2nd guard

most key rotation players return, Gibbs won't be missed at all while Hamilton made too many bone headed decisions at the end of games (although his rebounding will be missed)

I think Adams and Gibbs will be huge

PC - Dunn leaving was obvious and the correct decision.... Bentil leaving was puzzling.... to go with 2 years of eligibility left and go 51st overall, brutal for him. Especially when he had so little bball experience. Anyway here's for what comes back:

Cartwright is a turnover prone, score first point guard (or undersized 2-guard who happens to bring the ball up for us). When he gets hot he can light it up...I expect him to steal a few wins for us. Bullock will be our other go-to.... should be a 15/10 guy.

rest of the team has some real flaws unless guys got better over the summer.

I expect prov to be somewhere around the 6th or 7th best team in the big east. (Nova, Xavier, seton Hall, Creighton are all miles ahead.... we're somewhere in the next tier, and there's still a few awful teams in the big east)

Not expecting a return to the dance...

Wisconsin returns literally everyone from last year's S16 team.

Senior PG Bronson Koenig is a potential AA candidate. Nigel Hayes is a stud. Ethan Happ is a stud. This team will go 11 deep.

From what I hear true frosh D'mitrik Trice (former MSU guard Travis Trice's little bro) is going to be a good one.

I'm a homer, but I think this team has a really good chance at the FF.

Thomas Bryant is the stud down low, our first in a decade (depending upon your opinion of Cody Zeller). Showed signs of a developing midrange shot last season, and not afraid to take an uncontested three (though the home crowd will gasp everytime.) Anxious to see how the shot has developed.

Bryants is the name you know. OG Anonuby is the guy you will love. Good inside and out, a surprise freak, crowd favorite and I think heart of the team. Listed 6'8, but I question that. His athleticism lets him play at the rim with the bigger boys. Can make up for a team missing legit depth at the bigs. Think a larger Victor Oladipo.

Biggest question mark is James Blackmon. Missed basically all of last year. Can he fill the leadership void left by Yogi...I don't know and not positive that's his thing. More than capable scorer but he's a streaky shooter and his cold streak is cold. Will play some point, just being a guard around the perimeter, but not his strong suit.

Overall, I expect a slow start (meaning tonight), but to get strong in Big 10 play. Crean sometimes slow to get his top Frosh involved. Top guard Curtis Jones and big D'ron Davis, I believe, will be coming off the bench. I believe our perimeter shooting will be down compared to years past. Also, Danny Green's little brother and Josh McRoberts' brother on the team. Don't know much about them but assuming they will have some game in their genes.

Disclaimer, I am on Kansas -6 tonight. Think the Kansas size will be too much. Will hang throughout but lose out on too many offensive boards. Ranked a bit too high I believe for start of year (but #3 vs #11 always looks nice on a commercial.) Talent is there but I think will take some time to find the needed leadership.

Can't wait to see how OG Anunoby's game has developed in the off-season. He's a physical specimen.
