Ok, it worked last weekend. The Colts dominated from start to finish. This week, a little bigger task. It will be in the 40's and sunny so weather a non factor. (Weather has killed Manning a dozen times; it was the way the season ended so many times). Colts clearly are the inferior team but I prefer this match-up as I know the Ravens are a tougher match up for the Pats and of course, if win, the AFC Champ. would be here next weekend.

What's crazy is this could be the end for Peyton. I think he will play next year but he will be 39 and a half by the time the season starts. Who has a good season at damn near 40? Only good qb to even bother at that age is Favre. Especially considering he has thrown a shitload of passes/ neck surgery. I want the Colts to win but obviously a Manning fan. Manning basically took last week off by all reports. I don't like that. I fear a 6 td Manning day. But subtract 3 because he feels uncomfortable playing the Colts.

If the Ravens beat the Pats, I will be a nervous wreck during this game. I don't see the Colts beating the Pats in NE. I was at the first game. It was ugly,

The only good thing for Indy is that Peyton's playoff teams have usually not fared well against teams after taking time off.

I thought about that but think that is alot Tony Dungy. In the Manning years, keep in mind it wasn't just a bye, Dungy would shut it down for Manning a month before he had a real game. So he would have 4-5 weeks basically off, then come back under a ton of pressure and scrutiny for time off and be expected to beat a 3-4 defense which he hasn't fared very well with. (Patriots, Steelers, Chargers) .

Yeah I don't see how anyone can take NE ATS. I don't see a blowout but I envision a close game that never seemed that close. There are many Manning games like that. Where he is clearly in control but doesnt put a td on you every drive.

I like the fact the Colts play a 3-4 and didn't when he was here. He would tear that BS Tampa 2 up to the tune of 400 yards and 4 TD's and not even play in the 4th quarter

Caldwell did the same thing.
They had a chance to go 16-0 and he sat everyone the last 2 weeks only to get their ass handed to them by the Saints in the Super Bowl.

cover, maybe .. Win, don't think so

+1

Luck is going to be one of the best QB's unless something really weird happens... but he is not at that level yet.

Old dog Manning will win this game and unless the Packers or the Patriots bring their A-Game he is going to win it all.

Heard on the radio that the Colts allow opponents to score a crazy amount of points in the first half vs what they score.

Might take Denver first half as the play.

in what world does anyone do this. Lets sit everyone for over a month and then say, "hey turn the switch on now" especially in such a timing offense. There is a reason the colts go 0-4 or 1-3 in the preseason.

I swear dungy costs the colts 1-2 sb's. I hate him with a passion.

6 years. Seems like yesterday. Now I am depressed. I remember thinking it was a given the colts would win that game. Mostly because a common fear was the 1st playoff game because of reasons already stated. I seriously hate Dungy. Everyone loves him because he is a nice gentle black man that doesn't cuss. Colts defense was so predictable. It seemed like a high school defense.

Here is what would happen.

Freeney and Mathis will run up the field the fastest and quickest they could opening up huge holes. Gary Bracket (MLB) will run back as fast he can to cover the middle, the corners will roll up, then safeties will split the field and outside backers will be in soft zone...That was it. ALWAYS rushed 4. Never blitzed. Played zone behind it.

Hate the guy. Most overated coach in history. "Guys I don't cuss and I will play the same front and coverage every down, Peyton, its up to you, but just so u know I am a defensive genius, just ask warren sapp who also hates whites"

I def. think the colts cover though from a betting perspective. I don't let emotions get in the way when betting. Like I said, I fear the typical Manning game where he is in complete control yet the score is close but the outcome is not.

in '09 the Colts cruised in the AFC games and not having the pressure of going 19-0 likely helped them in the playoffs in general that year. It was still a bitch move but saying it had any impact on the SB vs the Saints is a reach

Manning choked in that Super Bowl just like usual. Going for game winning drive and throws pick-6.
