I called them about a week ago, for only maybe the sixth time this football season.
I called from a land line, only a bank and two credit card companies (and phone, gas, electric) have the number. No telemarker calls here, and I have this number on the Don't Call registry.
And so picked up a recorded message today from some tout, with a lock (of course) on tonight's game.
Tell Me is the culprit here.
It makes sense that Tell Me is selling the phone numbers. There ain't no free lunch. They have to make $$ somewhere. I imagine they also sell the numbers of those who call for other services to parties to whom that info is valuable. Like numbers of those calling for stock quotes to brokerages or stock tip sheets, etc.
