go with something that has alot of memory in it and no celeron. A dual core would be the best in my opinion...

If you can invest 500-800 in a laptop, check out lenovo's refurb site... You can get blazing fast machines (well, as far as laptops go) for what mediocre stuff sells for new. The T series are TOUGH - really built to last.

How fast do you need it ?

If you can wait awhile, you probably will get a better deal, esp. if you can wait until Black Friday, and are willing to fight mobs, or just make a deal right before all that KAOS.

For $1100 on Ebay you can get a in box never used Panasonic Toughbook Y7. I love my Y4 and its like 3.5 years old. They are great, extremely light (well under 4 pounds) and also built to last. It's too bad they stopped making the line but the Y7 wasn't manufactured too long ago.

Dell 14 inch inspirion dual core 2 gb of RAM 449.00. The lenova is nice but it is big at 15.4 inches.

I have a question regarding a Toshiba laptop I just bought.

There seems to be an annoying whistling sound coming from the back/bottom of the computer.

Any idea what this could be? I was thinking a fan, but it is about 2 months old so I dont see how it could over heat already
