There used to be an old saying! A bookie was showing a guy around his home town. He pointed to a house on a hill and said, "That's my "parlay" house." Driving a little further down down the road near the beach, he pointed to a house overlooking the ocean and said, "That's my "teaser" house!"

The point is, they don't call them teasers for no reason. As Chuck pointed out, you only need one team to go down the tubes to take you out of all your teasers. For example, this week the Colts are 14.5-15 point faves. You just know everyone is going to load up on the Colts with teasers. Now just suppose the 49ers Smith has a helluva game and the 49er's defense keeps intercepting passes. Colts come back to win but ONLY by 7! Could happen you know! With so many 3 point games on the board, you just know that some teams will win by 10 points or more!

Your missing the OVERALL point here, as well as others that believe all teasers are BAD bets.

OF COURSE, THE MAJORITY OF TEASERS ARE HORRIBLE BETS!!!.........AND IT IS TRUE THAT BOOKIES ARE PRACTICALLY STEALING FROM THE MAJORITY WHO BET TEASERS WITH THEM!!

THAT DOES NOT MEAN EVERY TEASER BETTING OPTION IS A BAD BET!!!!!

YOU BASICALLY NEED TO ACCOMPLISH TWO THINGS TO HAVE AN EDGE/OVERLAY 0N A TEASER........

1. Find a teaser with the correct overlay/edge payouts/rules.

2. Know how to effectively wager after finding what I stated in rule one.

Just ONE example may be teasing a -8.5 home favorite in the NFL down to -2.5 in a 6-point teaser...............by going through key numbers such as 3,4,6,and 7, one gains an instant advantage IF YOU COMBINE THIS WITH RULE ONE AND OTHER FACTERS!!!

THIS IS A PROVEN FACT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!

AGAIN, THIS IS JUST ONE SMALL EXAMPLE OF HOW A TEASER IS AN OVERLAY(overlay being a decisive edge to the player in the longrun for those that don't know).

Fish......exactly, brother. Teasing huge home favs down has been a gold mine for me, and I'm not really much of an NFL bettor. When you also play at the few books that still have tie/loss as a push, that is one more advantage. And sometimes I bet on the dogs also and win the teaser along with both straight bets.

If teasers are suckers bets why don't most Vegas books accept 2 team teasers? They make you tease 3 or more teams.

Most Vegas books allow 2-teamers OFF THE BOARD, just not on the "teaser" cards.

However, the payouts/odds/rules are horrible at most places.

No sharp teaser player is going to tease Indy from 14.5 to 8.5
