My parlay is hanging on this game...I'm going nuts about it. TCU looks pretty damn good but I don't know if they can score 24 on SMU

I'll be holding a SMU ticket before the night is over. Just hoping it pops to the +24.5 I see at a few shops. This is a big game for one team only, SMU. TCU is practically treating this as a bye week before they head to face Oklahoma.

Some bad turnovers last week assisted in that blowout, they should have their shit together in this one.

SMU qb bo mitchell looks lost and his reads are all off which is why he's having a lot of interceptions. In JJ's r/s, it will take some time before they get their things together. The other problem this creates for SMU is that their offense is a quick strike offense, so if they don't score, this creates a lot of pressure for their D which is why they're allowing a lot of points to be scored upon them. I think by year end, they will start clicking, so for me it's TCU or nothing. What I like about TCU is that they're trying to break into the BCS as well, so they will need to keep pace with BYU, Utah and East Carolina, so these are the type of games that they need to cover. gl.

What does covering a game have to do with the BCS?

I understand you need to take care of teams that you should take care of. But the spread has nothing to do with it. What would really impress, is a strong run at Oklahoma next week, the game they are really focused on.

You bring up good points about the new offensive schemes, but this is gonna be more of a play against a TCU team that will not mentally be at this game. See: Arizona State last week.

24 is a ton on the road vs a rival. a more than usual amount of tickets have been sold for an smu home game, like the most this past decade. look for smu to cover 24

Margin of victory plays a part in determining the ranking for a BCS spot, especially against a team that is considered inferior. This is why when Hawaii beat Washington, many felt that they were overated due to a soft schedule and not covering many spreads.

If TCU is not ready they don't deserve to be in the big game at the end of the year.

Regardless, unless Bo can cut down on his turnovers and make better reads, I wouldn't play them. Keep in mind that this kid didn't thrown that many times in high school and he is expected to do that every week. The key to this game is getting pressure and forcing him to make quick decisions. This is why Brennan had a hard time with Georgia.

If you like SMU, then good luck and go with your gut feeling. Bottom line I may be wrong and SMU may bring their "A" game and TCU might look ahead.

If SMU scores just a td, its over if you ask me. Their at home, thats just too many points for a rivalry game: dallas v. fort worth

SMU is one of the worst teams in Div 1-AA, but 24 is a lot to lay on the road, even for a very good TCU team. It would be SMU or nothing for me, but I'm not betting on that shit team.

Correction OTK, SMU is a Div 1-A team. But i know how sometimes you can get confused with their play. But i agree with you, 24 points at home just spells red flags for the horned frogs. Gotta go with the mustangs!!!

One of the reasons I'm going with TCU is that I didn't trust them to cover the spread against Stanford last week.

TCU is for real and they better beat the shit out of SMU
