it could actually be worse than tied right now, if Upton hadnt stupidly been thrown out trying to steal with 0 outs in the 8th...down 4 runs....his run meant nothing at the time, no reason to steal with 0 outs...he got caught, then the hits followed...they got 2 runs in the inning, but would have been 3 had he not gotten greedy.....

it could still haunt TB, even though they have pulled the miracle comeback

True, but don't forget that the Jays left a man on 3rd with one out in the 7th AND 8th innings. The manager also kind of mailed it in when he left Tallet in in the 6th to get bombed, and also when he left Accardo out there in the 8th. Even with the horrible play by the Jays, this game shouldn't even be close IMO.

Gaston is such a clueless fuck.....hes gonna take this team from first to worst in the same season if the ace is traded....this is a 100 loss team w/o Halliday.

Predictably, the Jays go quietly in the 9th. I have a buddy who always says baseball is scripted. What he means by that is you can typically tell how a game is going to play out based on the first few innings of a game, and sometimes even before the game has started. Not sure I always agree with that, but in a game like this the script was definitely for the Rays to win once they got to Tallet in the 6th. The Jays kind of mailed it in when they got the big lead, and the Rays started to give a shit once they got it to 9-4.

The Rays have the heart of the order coming up with a ridiculous amount of momentum. If they don't score at least 2 I'll be amazed.

Give me a double bleeping play and get the Rays out! Can't afford another sickening lose especially with huge leads.

Anyone who says momentum isn't a big factor in baseball (and there are a lot of them) should watch this game.

Wow. I'd be pretty pissed if I was a Rays backer right about now. The Jays have essentially waved the white flag on this game, and they can't even score one run with the heart of their order up? Amazing. The Rays are still a huge favorite to win this game, but the longer it drags out the less momentum they will have. Very surprised they couldn't score there.

On an unrelated note, I think Scutaro is one of the most underrated players in MLB, especially for what he's getting paid. He is definitely a guy you want up in a clutch situation.

Now that I say that he will probably strike out...

Alright, I'm heading out for the day. Looks like the Jays are content to give this one up. Nice comeback by the Rays, and congrats to everyone who was on them today. Jesus, when do I get to have a comeback like that on one of my bets! :):)

Best of luck fellas...
