Why do Republicans want to give their bosses boss a tax cut and pass the cost on to their grandchildren?

Why do the Democrats want to increase taxes, destroy the economy and pass the mess to our children?

I think we can all agree that the spending problem lies with the Congress - why don't we agree that we should replace the present congress with new people from the same party and get rid of all of the incumbenst who have created this spending morass.

Why should we be afraid of them and not the people who have caused this mess?

Who caused the mess?

I'll agree that the Republican leadership spent without control.

I will state that Bush won't veto any budget that gives him everything he asks for.

Ask yourself this - why did the Democrats (and the Republicans) continue to allow approval of money for the war?

The Congress is playing a shell game and fukking you while you're looking at the President.

I'm coming out of this cycle with one strong conclusion - McCain likes playing the maverick and he see's this as a golden opportunity to straighten out a runaway congress and cement his position as a strong and great President and a man of the people and the first man to bring a woman into the White House as VP.

And Palin strikes me as a great point person - using the bully pulpit to battle the Congress and take the fight to the American people.

We are watching history in the making!

spending spending spending and 17 billion in earmarks which is mccain's big talking point....isn't even gonna start to make a dent.....we need him to start talking like a moonbat saying he's wants to kill department of education and all kinds of shit....

i hate greenspan but he's right here

---------------------------

.McCain has proposed $3.3 trillion of tax cuts in two terms, Hunt noted in his talk with the former Fed chairman: "Can the nation afford tax cuts of that magnitude?''

"Unless we cut spending, no,'' Greenspan said.

"And would you tie any tax cuts to spending?'' Hunt asked.

"I always have tied tax cuts to spending,'' Greenspan said.

"So you would say no tax cuts without comparable spending cuts.''

"Well, indeed, '' Greenspan said, "what I said with respect to - in the year 2002, relative to the existing tax cut debate - that unless it's paid for on the so-called pay-go, I'm not in favor of it. I'm not in favor of financing tax cuts with borrowed money.''

This statement is false in so many ways. First of all, the reported national debt and annual budget deficit do not even include social security and medicare, which are part of a separate "trust fund".

But it does include interest paid on money borrowed for those programs. Do you have any idea what you are talking about?

You have no clue, do you?

The govt owes SS interest on the money that they keep borrowing from the SS's collected funds. Not the other way around.
