I have an approx 3"x2" tat I have been wanting to get removed. Went for a consult today at a dermatologist that uses PicoWay, which is the best and newest technology.
It's $1500 for 8 treatments.
Went on groupon and found a cosmetic surgery place that uses an ND-YAG laser, $199 for 3 treatments. Limit one package per customer. Over 70 bought with 96% of buyers who WOULD recommend.
I figured the way they get ya is by getting you started with the 3, then charging a ridiculous price for additional treatments. I called the place directly to ask about the cost of additional treatments beyond the 3 (since I'm pretty sure I'll need more), and they said they would honor the $199/3 price for as many packages of 3 I needed to get it to where I wanted it to be.
Seems too good to be true. I know the nd-yag is older technology and probably takes more treatments and hurts more, but the price is so appealing.
Anyone have any insight?
