PO69...Sorry but based on the above quote..YOU are one Cheap Bastard.

Well this doesnt help my case much, but I forgot to mention that the final 5 all agreed to give $600 each to the pool. Now that is still less than the 3% normal tip, but that was the deal even had I won only $15,000 as well. I did give the tournament director $50 as well. But I realize that it is a low amount for a tip, but that was our deal. I noticed that the second place guy only gave $500 tip and he won $52,000 and he agreed to give $600, but those agreements are not exactly binding

My last win of $130,000 had the 3% taken out so I didnt feel the need to tip. I did give $600 to the pool dealer toke jar and that was about $500 more than the guy who won second and he won $52,000. I ONLY did that because I know the dealers really well as I play live action at that casino 2-3 days a week. Since the tournament, most of the dealers have came around and thanked me for the extra tip that really wasnt necc.

Those of you who think PO69 was being cheap in tipping what he did obviously have never played the game for a living. When you do it for an income you cannot tip 4k every time you win a 6 figure payout or you would never see any profit long term.

If you are playing for fun, by all means tip 3% or even 5%. If you playing to make ends meet and pay your bills then tip what you must. The house doesn't tip you when you lose on a suckout or you get dealt K's against someone's aces.

PRECISELY!!

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS ...........

If they are ALREADY taking 3% out for the dealers, I would tip NO MORE than 1% additional on my $130,000 win............which in this case would be $1300.
