We'll start by saying, "WHEW", it's nice to see the Rays' bats spark back up in Baltimore tonite, following a 5 game severe slump.....This is a team that should be in the top half of the league offensively....

Meanwhile, how about the evident resurgence of Paul Abbott? Third straight VERY solid outing...Seems that Lou has him on track to replicate his success as a Mariner.

We kinda think that John Halama may be another who will respond in similar manner. Lou announced today that The Stork, Mark Hendrickson was being yanked from the rotation, and Halama would be the logical LH candidate to take his place.

Rocco Baldelli got off the snide with a homer tonight. Good news for Rays' fans.

Oh yeah. COming into tonite, Baldelli and Huff were both under .200.

Which meant that Cruz, who was well over .300 first two weeks, had only three RBI.

Their lineup versus RHP does not have an 'easy out'.

DRays defeat O's 7-3, combined with Red Sox 4-2 win over the Blue Jays enables the Sox to slip into 1st place by a half game over the O's. Keith Faulke notched his 5 save for Boston tonight.
