Toronto Blue Jays slugger Carlos Delgado homered in his first two at-bats against Tampa Bay's Jorge Sosa on Saturday night, giving him homers in five consecutive at-bats off the Devil Rays right-hander.

Delgado hit solo shots in the second and fourth innings, and Sosa left before Delgado's third at-bat in the sixth. It was Delgado's first multihomer game this season, and 37th overall.

Delgado homered in two at-bats against Sosa last Sept. 25. He had four homers overall in that game, won by the Blue Jays 10-8. The streak started with a homer last Sept. 10.

It figures he would hit a few homers now when they mean nothing.

Wilheim.
I hope you unerstand that this piece of crap cost himself millions by not allowing himself to be traded by the Blue Jays.

It is different if the player is demanding a trade and then plays his way out of town..(ie antonio davis) but the jays can not sign him next year and wanted to get something for him.but his way of thanking them for all the money they paid him was to veto any trade....end of the year the jays get zero.....not sure why johnson and walker wanted to stay but if i was player..i would like to play for something in sept and oct...

Maybe his family is happy in Toronto? - I really don't know.

If you were already a millionaire would you move your family across the continent just because your boss asked?

I wouldn't.
