You need to see the highlights. It was a total misplay in left field causing the 3rd run to score on the play. Unbelievable ending.

We've seen this time and time again so far this baseball season, teams pulling it out in the 9th.Someone on here mentioned that the way things have gone so far this season that maybe the pitchers were all juiced up also, particularly relievers!

Definitely a tough one to watch as both the Giants defense with errors from normally solid fielders Vizquel (first one in 61 games), Tucker, and last and most damaging Ellison put in left for defensive reasons as well as watching Benitez blow his first save with walks and not being able to locate his splitter. Yet, the Giants still had an 8-5 lead with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth. Emotional loss rather then being on a 4 game win streak and standing in first place. Could impact tomorrow's game as Giants face nemesis Perez and will need a better performance from Tomko then he showed in his first start this year. The beauty of sports. Expect the unexpected.
