really believe tarheels should be favs here and was very surprised to see this as a PK. west virginia qualifies as a preseason top 10 team who had a very disappointing season and now get to go to the "allmighty" meineke car care bowl for their efforts. mounties have been in and won some big bcs bowls last few years and i'm hoping that will push bettors to get WV as fav here. nothing big was expected from tarheels and i feel they will be more excited here and favor butch davis over 1st year mountie coach. gl this bowl season.

Not to mention the wine and cheese crowd should be in full force @ this de facto home game. This is a very young carolina team and they will be hungry to set a good tone for next season in this one. I think the angle of who wants to play in this game really comes into factor here. WVU had a disappointing season in their minds while UNC had the breakout season under Davis they've been waiting for. The WVU offense has been dead the past few weeks and there isn't many reasons why they'll find themselves in the last game of the season. I like UNC as well.

UNC ended their season losing 2 out of 3 (beating Duke, but getting blown out by NC State). So they didn't exactly finish with a lot of momentum.

history has shown that in bowl games that teams that are able to rush the ball better than their opponents & stop the run better have a high winning % over teams that do not rush the ball well or defend the run well...it means that they control the line of scrimmage....
west virginia runs the ball at 5.5 ypr....& stops the run at 3.6 ypr...while n. carolina rushes the ball at 3.6 ypr...& stops the run at 3.8 ypr...advantage w. virginia....of course it doesn't always work out this way....but in the long run you will come out ahead with rushing teams....

bowl and location favors wolfpack. not at all impressed with opponent from weak acc. i'm not big on line moves which is why i bought it now. i'm guessing it goes to 2-3 by gametime. i'll keep buying on this game regardless of line movement as i feel nevada is the right play here.

of all the teams in bowl games rice should be the most excited and got a home game nonetheless. one thing this team will do for you is score...and score alot. they should bring home their 1st bowl win since '54 and i believe easily cover the short 3 they are giving.
