I recently read an article about interim head coaches rarely being succesful in the NBA because the players generally treat the new coach like a substitute teacher and think they can get away with anything. With the season already lost by the time the interim takes over, they have nothing to play for and basically quit. Perhaps that theory partly explains the Wizards lack of effort in recent weeks. Over the past 9 games the Wizards have just 2 wins, both from the worst teams in the NBA - Clippers and Kings.
Regardless of all that, looking at this matchup the Nets are superior in every major statistic. It's hard to find many reasons to like the Wizards in this game especially since they're not even getting any points.
