They were trying to tank the game, not the players but the coach and the organization. The Heat basically rested all their best players and played their worst 5 players the entire 48 minutes of the game, I saw the 4th quarter and those guys were gassed. Problem is the Sixers also rested most of their players and played their crappiest players almost the whole game.
I still like your bet to take the Sixers it's just didn't work out. Most of the time the Sixers would have won this game.
At least these teams tank the right way, it would be truly embarrassing if players were noticibly trying to lose, so instead they trot out their worst lineup and let them play 100%.

Only time I've ever seen actual players on the court trying to lose was about 8-9 years ago. The twolves went to OT and I'm not even making this up, Mark Madsen started launching 3s. He shot like 2 or 3 3s all year and OT starts and hes just fucking launching 3s, lol. Took 5 in 1 minute
I don't know how it slipped through the cracks and didn't become a bigger story. Pre-twitter/social media and all that really. If that happened today I feel like it would get played over and over.
