...the Steelers will cover tomorrow. I've got big money on it.

I'm a first time poster but I've lurked for a while and want to share a few of my winning plays from now on. I've been successful overall but especially on my big plays.

I recommend you play Steelers (-6) or the Steelers moneyline. Here is why.

Everyone loves Baltimore right now. They have a fierce defense and an impressive rookie QB. But that's where the problems begin. Rookie QB.

I'm sure everyone heard the statistic that Flacco is the first rookie QB to win two playoff games. All that this stat shows us is how tough it is for rookie QBs to win playoff games. The playoffs hold an entirely different atmosphere and to do it not one or two but three times in a row is asking too much of Flacco.

Consider this: Flacco who is being held in high praise right now actually has not performed great so far in the playoffs. It' impressive on paper that he has yet to throw any picks, but Cameron has called very conservatively, obviously protected potential deficiencies in Flacco. He has completed less than 50% of his passes over two games, has only thrown one touchdown, and has yet to complete 300 yards over two games! If that doesn't worry you enough, consider that he is about to face the toughest defense, the best linebacker on the planet, and possibly the worst place to play at in January in Heinz Field. I might add that his favorite target is banged up.

I wasn't completely sold on the Baltimore D before the Titans game, and I'm certainly not now with a limpy Suggs and no Samari Rolle. The Ravens D hasn't gotten any rest in the last four months, so it's no wonder they are shorthanded. If they allow Parker to run on them early as they did with Chris Johnson last week, I expect Rothlisburger to have a big game, especially with the Ravens secondary weakened. Kerry Collins threw on them at will last week and Rothlisburger is always a threat in the playoffs, and looked great last week.

I see two ways that the Ravens can win. They can get points off special teams or through Ed Reed. If either happens, I like their chances to cover the spread. The problem is, the Steelers are a disciplined, smart team that realizes this. I do not expect the ball to be thrown in any vicinity of Reed tomorrow, and they outplayed the Chargers last week on special teams even with the long Sproles return.

I don't bet against my teams often. I hate to do it. But this situation is too good to pass up. Don't make the mistake of siding with Baltimore just because the public is.

Steelers 23 - Baltimore 13

Good luck!

The bitter cold will be a big factor. Why in hell doesn't the NFL play a championship game (In Pittsburgh) with a noon or 1:00 P.M. kick-off and play the second game in the Arizona desert (indoors no less) where it will be a lot warmer?

There has to be a money angle somewhere (there always is).

My first post too. Can I see what you're saying happening? Absolutely. Although, after my handicapping of this game, 6 points is too many to give.
Even with your final score scenario, you're one pick 6, one long Flacco bomb, one Figurs return or 2 Stover field goals from a non-cover. Too many points to give, just can't do it.

It's not up to the NFL...it is up to the networks. The networks rotate who gets the prime-time game each week in the playoffs. That is why the Pitt/Balt game is the prime-timer.

Game itme forcast of 25 degrees is not bitter cold....bitter cold is the -15 we had Wed/Thurs and Fri.... 25 is a heatwave...lol

totally agree with your analysis, also there have never been 2 wildcard teams in the super bowl, and dont think itll happen this year. I think Pitt will wear down Ravens defense and take care of business..............Pitt moneyline definitely still researching on giving points. Good luck and aloha

You are partially correct with regard to the networks rotating the games, however, the AFC & NFC games are rotated on a YEARLY basis..

Take care and be well my friend

you are no ravens fan. your analysis is snazzy but dont forget about intangibles which the ravens have always relied on to win. dont call yourself a ravens fan again. you stick with your team no matter what the odds. if you dont like the line then you dont bet the game. betting against your team with a chance to go to the super bowl? not a true fan. go ravens

I am a huge ravens fan. Lived in baltimore my whole life but looking at this game from a unbiased outlook, i think the steelers will win. Of course i want the ravens to win im just being realistic. With rolle out and suggs not 100% if he plays aswell as close to 10 players with some kind of injury it doesnt look good. But like you said i wont be betting on pittsburgh but simply watching and rooting for the ravens.

Why is it a square bet? I don't think I have ever seen any analysis from you on any games. You just follow guys in every sport. All I see in your posts are "I'm with you on that" or "following you today on all games" So now I ask why is this one of the squarest plays in the playoffs? Please enlighten!

Not trying to come off as a dick I just want an explanation of why this is so "Square?"

Today, I see one pick after another on this forum taking the Steelers -6. I haven't seen such a lopsided selection on this forum this entire playoffs. There ya go, my square analysis in a nutshell. I'll be at the window cashing Baltimore +6. :103631605

ravens fan here...injuries,17 straight work weeks, not to mention home court are probably a little to much of a disadvantage to make up....

rolle was no world beater...but his replacement frank walker isn`t an nfl caliber corner....and lets not forget that they haven`t had benefit their best corner(mccallister) and their starting safety(landry),best run stopper(gregg) or best young receiver(demetrius williams) for almost the entire year...

and if you noticed last week, the ravens mounted little pass rush, particularly when suggs went down....if i were harbaugh,i`d have spent the past week figuring out a way to get pressure on roethlisberger without the benefit of suggs.....

the ravens have been on an amazing run...but,all things considered, this may be a bridge to far...

i bought down to -2.5 when the line came out...cost me a little...but,given the circumstances,i think it was a smart move....
the 2 games these teams played during the season were as close as you can get to a wash...they were games that turned on a play or two.....

the ravens can keep this close... a turnover here,a few matt stover fg`s...that`s why i felt the need to buy...

or maybe the ravens finally collapse from exhaustion....you saw some signs of it last week....

whatever...i hope i lose my wager....and i expect an utter bloodbath....

enjoy the game...
