I completely disagree with you.
1.) Teams don't usually get swept in a double-header. It's a very hard thing to do. Let alone on the road against a good team.
2.) Cole Hamels is a much better pitcher than John Maine (nothing against Maine, he is good, just not Cole Hamel's good.)
3.) The Phillies bullpen held the Mets to just 4 hits in the last 5 innings and 0 runs. They Mets offense completely died after they got a 6-1 lead.
4.) The MAIN reason for why the Mets won the first game is Carlos Delgado. He had a 3 hit game with a couple RBIs. He's a .220 batter and already got 3 hits on the day. He's lucky if he gets 1 a game. He won't have that same type of game against Hamels.
5.) The Phillies offense came alive later in the game whereas the Mets offense completely died.
With all that combined and the fact that they started hitting late which should carry over is a good sign for the Phillies.

dont look now...its the mets....i watch every phillies game , and if u saw the reds series, the ball is flying out of this park like crazy in this current heat, and phils pitchers , whetehr its hamels or not, are having lots of trouble keepin it in the yard.
id like nothing more than to see the phils win, especially when hamels pitches....but the mets are somuch better value here...

1.yes the mets scored 5- early then died....but they scored no runs in the stl series, and woke up for the phils.....the phils played extra inn and rain interrupted games the last 2 days, and had trouble beating the reds 2-1 in that series. the mets got rained out last night and arrived in philly be4 the phils beat the reds in 10th inn .
2. hamels has 9 win -145...blah blah blah....one thing everyone ignores, U GET JOHN MAINE AT 8 WINS @+135 with the better lineup for this park. delgado loves it here as game 1 shows (as we speak, beltran has 2 hr in 2nd game)...also castro played game one, which means if i back METS I GET RIGHT HANDED HITTING LODUCA IN GAME 2VS THE LEFTY HAMELS. IF THEY SAVE LADUCA FOR GAME 2, WHATS THAT TELL U BOUT WHICH GAME THEY R SAVIN THE EFFORT FOR?
3. pHILS ARE AS MUCH OF a momentum team as any in the league......after losing game 1, chances are good they lose game 2 . all that being said...i do like them to win saturday in front of national audience and again on sunday......

Bro, it's not like I got a monster on the game. All I did was voice my opinion, but christ. You are the worst fan a team could ask for.
