Docgone, I'll give you 51 reasons not to take Syracuse....the 51 points Purdue hung on them earlier this year! `Cuse made a valiant effort in the Carrier Dome last week vs. a mediocre Florida State offense. But on the road, `Cuse's defense stinks against good teams. Repeat after me: "I will not take bad defenses on the road."
All of this being said, I don't like WV -16, either. My advice is to stay at home tonight and beat off while staring at your sweet-ass avatar. GL, my friend.

I like the Syracuse +15.5 tonight, but I am still concerning about their Run defense. Syracuse can keep the Florida St. game so close. I think they are steping up to play the game instead of giving up all the pts to lose in the game!! Also, WVU is 1-22 in ATS for any double digit game to blow someone out and cover the spread. The max I can see the WVU could win by 7-10 pts tonight!!
Don't use the Purdue game to cap this one. Purdue did burn them with the run but has much more of a passing game than WV. This game will definately be more the type of game as when Virginia played Syracuse and beat them by 21.El Iguana said:

They've given up less than 16 points a game this season and the only teams they've let run against them scored an average of 1 rushing TD a game and 16 total points. Both Maryland and Virginia Tech have better rushing offenses than Syracuse.
Syracuse will end up with about 7-13 points here but I can't reccomend taking West Virginia currently. I got it during the opener at -12.5 -121 but the current line at -15.5 is way too much. My only advice is if you want to play this game do a 7-point teaser on WV and the Under. Teasers are square but in my opinion that is the only way you play this game. That or the under straight up. In no way can I reccomend betting on Syracuse unless you are getting more than 3 TD's.

Caught them right when they came out. Came out around 5-6 PM on Sunday if I remember correctly. Lines move like crazy during the first ten minutes.
