Seriously this 9.5 spread makes no sense to me. I think Notre Dame is gonna win this game by 30 points. If anyone has any info why I might think about staying away please let me know because I'm seriously considering thinking about laying a huge bet on the Irish here.

Now the line is down to an even 9. Man oh man I really don't know what I'm missing here. People seem to be jumping on Syracuse. In my opinion, Syracuse blows. Notre Dame by far has the better coach and QB. Something is fishy here, I wanna pull the trigger but am gonna wait it out, there has to be some sort of injury I don't know about.

Jeff Sagarin power ratings. If you use him? ND 87 Syracuse 79 8 point difference! To close to call.

After watching CFB Daily on ESPNU this afternoon, I was convinced ND was a play. But statistically, there's only a few yards/game delta between them on D and the Cuse has the better O by around 40 yards/game. First trip out of the Homer Dome for the IRISH, although Meadowlands will probably have more IRISH fans than the Cuse, but as the guy above pointed out, some serious RLM. Best to stay away imo. GL

I just read 5 players are suspended for ND on Sat. and will not be playing. Go to CNotes on page 1. You will see it there.

Although it does not sound like much..... this will be the best defense NDame has seen so far this season... and it occurs away from their home court..... do as you like, but I never put money on teams in that situation.....

Look ahead spot. ND has Stanford next week.
This makes the most sense of anything anyone has said about this game. I honestly can't ever pick correctly with either of these two teams so I'd be okay if the team bus breaks down on the way to the stadium.

this is one of those games where ND plays just enough to win and Syracuse plays out of their ass

Good find! I'm sorry but I think ND is gonna kill SU. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so. About to go in big. Still looking over things lol. No rush.

Statistically there is no such thing as a "look ahead" effect on outcomes with college football..... no correlation whatsoever.....none. I don't think that to be true, I know that to be true. In fact, there exists a slight variance in the opposite direction..... which is exactly the effect on outcomes you would expect to see given the line is being pushed by false logic...... but believe whatever you want.

There playing in NYC in front of a sold out crowd. I'm not worried about ND coming out flat. The talent gap here is huge. I'm more then willing to make my biggest bet of the year to let Syracuse show me they can keep this close. I just don't see it. Only way I see this thing staying close is if ND turns the ball over a lot, which is possible but not likely. It's gambling and I could be wrong but I really think ND is gonna kill the Cuse.
