my wife has a friend who has convinced her that we should switch to acelera we currently have cable tica - rasca.I use skype all the time and do some online banking etc-what plan do we need to get she thinks the basic plan will do but i dont think so we currently pay $65 a month for internet I cant see switching and paying $19 and getting good service i dont think skype will work
ICE (the guys of acelera) are planning to lower their rates soon, that will probably trigger a similar situation with cable-tica/racsa.........so I would probably just wait a bit
for acelera to work you need to be within certain distance of the telephone company offices.....I don't think you are within that range, you could of course ask
but bottom line if you are still working online...and your connection is fine.....I would simply not mess with it, why mess with something that works fine? you may save some bucks....but it might also cause you massive headache if it doesn't go well

Soon we will have both CableTica and ICE DSL.
Not that I expect that to be a big improvement, I can just cross my fingers they don't fuck up at the same time too much.
I would love to hear from you after you have tested the router to see what your thoughts are.... i have been dying for a router of the kind and have always been told that it doesnt exisist.... i have the adsl (which sucks at my home in heredia) and cable tica

the router I use (with two WAN adapters) is the RV082 from linksys
it works fine doing both load balancing or smart backup, the one thing I never got to work properly was load balancing with voip boxes.....but it was an early firmware version, it might work with the new firmwares I have seen for the box
