All of Sweden's shots have been right down the middle of the goal or wide of the goal. TT keeper hasn't even had to make many tough saves. They are hitting it right to him

No matter if they lose the remaining two matches, the Soca Warriors have done the country more than could ever have been expected of them.

Have to say you sandbagged quite a few people on Sweeden Slim, i wouldn;t even have looked at this crap had you not touted it so much..good thing i had a small play and at -1, not the ML...

Anyway, that was some real smelly shit.

Brock, they dominated that game, spent the entire second half in the last quarter of the field, yet not one shot went in.

Horrible loss and horrible way to lose it to.

goood call there slimster.

I wouldn't really say they dominated the game the way a 1.2 favourite is supposed to, playing for almost half the game against ten men, they were horrible actually, I don't want to add insult to injury, but take it like a man for a change and admit you were as far off here as you can probably get in a game, and it wasn't "a horrible way to lose it", it was just a very bad choice, and the game gave ample evidence for that. I too was just about ready to bet em but for reasons I won't go into here I didn't.

Fact of the matter is that the swedes were pathetic, and let me get a little tactical here. First of all they were outrun, even with ten men down trinidad were faster to the ball most of the time, and the whole swedish team looked tired and really, really slow, their three attacking star players clearly showed sighns of a heavy football season taking it's toll. At no point did they manage to make some decent use of their wings to break up the trinidad defence, and nowadays in football if you can't do that you are fucked, the swedes almost never "winged" and when they sorta did they didn't go into the opponents areas and their crosses were far off target. The did their central line attacking thing add nauseum and off course it didn't work. They were also brutal in their finishing attempts, like another member said here, it wasn't as much that the trinidad keeper did a good job but that all the shots were shot straight at him, powerless and artless. Last minute panic attempts by the swede coach by putting in kalstrom as well as the coppenhagen midfielder whose name I don't recall, ending up with about five attackers didn't do shit. There was absolutely no movement in the team, no overlaps, no positioning...

Was I the only one surprised to see Larsson play the full 90? Is he really a 90 minute man at this point in his career at the world level? Did Sweden have no one else to substitute?

not really, did you see the third attacker they fielded in from coppenhagen, the guy I keep forgetting his name, the fact alone that he plays for the danish club (danish club football is one of the least successful in europe) should speak volumes for football fans, if his sub par efforts in the few shots he took do not already. They could have moved carlstrom more up front, but then again they are playing trinidad and friggin tobacco with ten men, no reason to substitute larsson, is there? Actually Larsson was amongst the best of the swedish team, but if the proverbial coppenhagen guy and Zlatan can't net the ball (man this kid has got so much going for him...but when it comes to scoring) from a two feet distance, well...and he had a fairly untaxing year at barcelona, as a substitute. Trinidad players btw I was surprised to find out are rather aged too.

Yes, the T&T squad is a mix of really old and rather young players. Latas, Andrews, Shaka and Yorke are all on the late side of 30. But it could have been the experience of the likes of Yorke and Hislop that kept the team composed when playing the last half down a man. Can't wait for England as I for one wasn't impressed with their opener at all.
