when I say suprise team, I mean team that didnt do that well, barely made a bowl game, and should turn around and be one of the top 25 teams in the country and no one really saw it coming, it happens every year (S. Fla, Kansas).

Purdue - I realize they went 8-5 last year but they had a very weak schedule, the only played one ranked team the entire season, and got crushed by michigan and lost to PSU, but I think Joe tiller's last season will have a lot to do with this. They are picked 7th in the conference by most publications. There schedule isnt too tough with a lot of the tougher teams in the Big-10 are coming to west lafayette

Nebraska - I expect Bo Pelini to really turn this program around.

Colorado - Both Hawkins (coach) and Hawkins (QB), should improve this team. Dan is in his 3rd year and is a building more of his own players and Cody is a little bit more experienced and should do better

Cincinatti - I have no idea why, but ive been thinking these guys will be damn good this year

Miami - I can see them certainly turning it around this season

Anyway not garunteeing any of this happens or anything like that, and I havent even looked at all the teams, just something I can see happening. Dissapointment teams, teams that did really well last year, but wont do nearly as well this year

Kansas - im actually a kansas fan, I go to Lawrence every thanksgiving, and catch a hoops game during that weekend, so its kind of turned me into a fan. But this team had a very favorable schedule to go to 11-1 in the regular season like they did. There toughest road game was against KSU and other then Mizzu, that was probably there toughest game too. This year they play @USF, @ Oklahoma, vs T. Tech, vs Texas, @ Nebraska and I can see them losing all of these games.

Illinois - I believe Mendenhall was a huge lose and im not a big juice fan

Will add more later...

Surprise teams: Iowa, Ole Miss, Hawaii, Rutgers and TCU

Disappointing teams: Fresno St, Oregon St, Clemson, and Georgia (I think fans will be disappointed with a 9-3 season, which is very likely)

I respect your thoughts on this but Hawaii will be a shit team this year! There best WR's last year are all gone no more Colt new head coach and Graunke is hurt! They will run the ball alot more and I just don't see them staying above .500 this year!

If they get below .500 that would be the shock of my life. Graunke isnt hurt, hes academically ineligible. Expect to see them in the Hawaii bowl this year IMO

That's right I had my info mixed up yes he is academically ineligible.

They will have one win in the first five games. Then the last eight games four maybe five wins.

USU is really bad! I can agree with this aswell but I just don't see it! Not sure if they can beat the beavers. The SJS and Nevada game they can win both of those games and they could lose both of those games! In all Alex I really really really hope you are right!!!:toast:

I agree a few of them are toss ups, but I think San Jose St will be worse becausei m pretty sure they lost their QB to the NFL. At worst, I see 7-5

The biggest question mark with Texas will be their pass defense...But I expect DC Muschamp's aggresive style of defense to allow this team to gamble and blitz more this year. The Texas defensive line is among the best in the country. Keep in mind that although Texas has only 4 starters back on defense, all of the players but one in the back 7 are either juniors or seniors, and most all have seen quite a bit of playing time. They've got some bigtime talent on offense...Also keep in mind that their star WR Limas Sweed, who graduated, was hurt most of last season and wasn't really a factor in any game.. After the offensive line came together, Texas went on a tear last season..They averaged scoring 42 points a game in their last 7 games of the season. Including 52 in their bowl game. Most everybody is back from that unit except for Sweed and RB Charles..But I believe this new kid Whitaker is just as good as Charles and will have a breakout season behind that line...Colt McCoy has put on 15 pounds of muscle in the offseason, and is looking pretty good..All of the offensive line is back..This offense will be dangerous..Any improvement at all by their defense, and they'll be pushing OU all the way for the Big 12 South. Texas best chance at a loss will come in the Cotton Bowl vs OU and in Lubbock against Texas Tech. Something tells me Texas is going to win one of those games...Hopefully against Texas Tech. Texas has also been one of the best road teams in the Big 12 the last few years..So even though they may not cover the spread when they go to Colorado and Kansas this season, I still expect them to win both of those games

Well im inclined to agree with you the only chance they lose is in Oklahoma and @ T. Tech. As I said, Kansas will be bad, and I can see Colorado potentially beating them, thats about it, 10-2 is my prediction, 9-3 at worst. In the Mack Brown era there is always a loss except for in 2005, that no one saw coming. Thats why I cant really put them into my dissapointments because thats better then last year. I think the total on this team is 9.5 and I think thats exactly were there gonna be..9 or 10.
