Its true, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but teams like Pitt that won the super bowl in 2005 & 2008 didnt make the playoffs following this bowl wins.

Anyone know if both #1 seeds advanced to championship or did at least 1 lose every year?

If I'm not mistaken, since 1990, the #1 seed teams have met in the super bowl only 4 times in 23 years.......last year was #1 Seattle vs #1 Denver

IMO, Seattle won't make it to the super bowl.......if they win this week, they will lose next week at home.
