I won this prop the past two Superbowls.

Prop bet: National Anthem Over/Under 2 minutes 20 seconds (-200)

Here is my research:

This year Lady Gaga is singing it.

Here is a link to an interview where she says she will stick to the traditional singing of the national anthem:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL3cKCFwbks

According to what she says, it leads me to believe she will stick to the way it's normally sang and not draw it out. Also, she said she used to practice singing it like Whitney Houston did on Superbowl XXV. Here is a link to that performance:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_lCmBvYMRs

Houston's rendition was just under 2 minutes

Here is the only video I could find of Gaga previously singing it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kdd6JzJgJGY

It looks like that was about 2 minutes and 14 seconds. At least 5 or 6 seconds under.

According to the above, the best bet is Lady Gaga sings the National Anthem UNDER 2 minutes 20 seconds.

National Anthem UNDER 2 minutes 20 seconds (-200)

BOL! :toast:

This is one I bet on each year and my research netted the exact same findings as everything you stated above. Good luck man!

When she first starts singing to the end of "brave"

You mean 2 min 16.5 secs?

That's cutting it close

Seeing some movement at couple of books I've been using. BetOnline is only offering the 136.5 number and their number was around -150 on the over an hour ago. Then it jumped to -200 and subsequently all the way up to -220. 5 minutes later it was down to -175 and now it's at -130.

Heritage is offering 3 numbers, 134.5, 136.5, and 140. Under on 140 is at -260 (was -280). Over 134-1/2 is currently -220. 136.5 was at -115 both ways, but is now -135 on over. I want to play this prop. Very reluctant to lay -260 on under 140, but it's probably a winner.

Edit: Under 140 is now -220

I thought she went over --- I counted 2.30 though I might've started 5 seconds early because I hit go when the piano played -- still, I think it went OVER

Man, I love this bet every year and hopped on it at U136.5. Gaga sang brave twice. That is not the official version if you ask me. :)

she did say brave twice! the first time was under, and when she sang it again it went over. the rules say it ends with at the end of the word "brave". I'm sure it will get graded a loss

I timed it from the time the piano started and she was finished at like 2:14-2:15 and then added that extra "brave" and it went to like 2:27... However the piano played for like 5-7 seconds before she started singing and do we know when they start the official clock? Might have went over by a couple seconds

its supposed to start when she sings the first note, not the piano

Mine was graded as a win...whew!

Mine was graded as a loss. I guess I need to plead with my guy that that rule was when she finished singing the first Brrraaavvveee. Congrats on the W Horns!!
