Sunglases at the Grammy's

It's bad enough that i don't know any of the people nominated, but what is the deal with the sunglasses. everytime i turn on one of the music award shows it couldn't be more lit up and most of the performers or guys in the audience have sunglasses on. I guess it's a fashion statement. Riduculous if you ask me.@)
