YTD: 11-7
Kentucky (-7.5) over Florida
Kentucky is currently playing their best basketball...winning 5 in a row (5-0 ATS). Gerald Fitch is back healthy and Cliff Hawkins has quietly been becoming one of the best point guards in the country.
Earlier this season, Florida took control early in the second half and built an 11-point lead with less than seven minutes left. The Gators still led by eight with less than three minutes left. Yet Kentucky outscored Florida 20-6 in the final 6:30 to win 68-65. Worse for those denying the mental meltdown angle, Florida went scoreless the final 2:57 and helped UK with three late turnovers. Showing the evidence that Kentucky has dominated this series of late...4-0 ATS in the past 2 seasons.
Florida guard, Anthony Roberson has led Florida in their recent streak of wins. But he'll be facing (imo) the best defensive backcourt in the SEC. Last year @ Rupp they held Roberson & Company to just six baskets and 20-percent shooting in the first half.
