4% Arizona Cardinals (-4) at CAROLINA PANTHERS 1:00 PM ET

Staying here with our tried-and-true method of “Super Sugar vs. Towel Tosser” with a +1.1 Net YPPL diff, a running game (142/5.1 vs. 173/5.0 Carolina rush defense) as well as the better defense by 8 points and 48 yards. With the Cards still in the Division race following last week’s 30-7 home victory vs. New England and Carolina off a “Towel Tossing” 4th consecutive defeat, we make Arizona our Top NFL Play of the Week.

3% Philadelpha Eagles (-3) vs. WASHINGTON COMMANDERS 1:00 PM ET

I stray far from my winning concept which has led us to the 34-12 ATS recent NFL run since Week 1. For Washington, who barely hung on against New Orleans last week, is still alive in the Wild Card race holding down the 7 spot with their 9-5 SU record. They will, however, be playing with great motivation against a Philadelphia team who looks like the best in the NFL right now. The Eagles enter on a 10 game winning streak, 7-3 ATS, following their dominating 27-13 home victory against Pittsburgh last week in which they gained over 400 yards WHILE HOLDING THE STEELERS TO ONLY 39 TOTAL PLAYS AND 163 TOTAL YARDS. That Eagle defense is now allowing just 15/240 L10G and is now the #1 stop unit in the league. In an earlier meeting against Washington, a 26-18 win, THEY OUTRUSHED THE COMMANDERS 228-93. Strong Eagles rush defense will make life miserable for NFL Rookie of the Year candidate Washington QB Daniels considering that the Washington OL allowed 8 sacks last week. Another statement game by the best team in the NFL.

3% Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-4) at DALLAS COWBOYS 8:20 PM ET

As they have returned to better defensive health and QB Rush is getting more comfortable in replacing QB Prescott, the Cowboys have won 3-4 to further delude themselves that they have a Playoff shot. Their last 2 victories have come against the 2 worst teams in the NLF, NYG and Carolina, AND ARE FAR FROM THEIR CLOSING SLATE OF PLAYOFF CONTENDERS Tampa Bay, Philly and Washington. That Playoff fantasy bursts today against the “Super Surging” Tampa Bay Bucs who bring their 4 game win streak into Big D after putting up 506 yards against the previous top defense in the league in last week’s 40-17 win at LAC. Fundamentally, the Bucs have a+1.2 Net YPPL differential, qualify in the “winner vs. loser” category, and have the better running game (+35 RYPG to -36 RYPG) as well as the superior defense. Without Dallas CB Diggs, look for Bucs QB Mayfield to match his previous 4 game stats of 72%/264 PYPG. That once strong home field of the Cowboys is now history as they are 1-6 SU on this field with the lone win against the 2-12 SU, 3-10 ATS NYG.
