College Fan always ensure you assess the name correctly before reacting in the future. Jamm actually stands or in my post stood for Jammanxc, not Journeyman. Furthermore if you had of read my post in Journeyman's thread properly, you would have read the following line which said:

"I'm with the giants as well." by Jammanxc

In the paragraph to follow, it wasn't difficult to understand that it was directed to the name in the sentence above (Jammanxc) or else I wouldn't have included the name in the sentence at all. Got it now? Geeeez!

When a team is hot you gotta pull the trigger, it's a very good bet, and who cares if barry is playing or not, he is not using steroids anymore

College (punk) Fan, do me a favor and mind you're own fucking business. My post or question did not involve you, so do us all a favor and go play in the streets. As the saying goes, if I want any bullshit from you, I'll simply squeeze you're fucking head! Now don't you feel stupid? :missingte :missingte :missingte

Guys, lets just make some money, it was a misunderstanding at best.

I realize tempers/emotions can get high in this arena so go to a neutral corner and count to 5!

Game time.

I Don't See Much I Like....thanks College Fan...btw, Where Are You From?

Columbus.

Summer is boring for me - so I've been tailing you and a few others on the bases, until the fun starts. For me, that's college football. And it looks like we'll have a preseason #1 this year... Hopefully we can live up to the hype.

Where are you from?

Cool. Yeah, Columbus IS OSU. It's funny - even the NHL Blue Jackets (even they're the only pro team in town) realize it's a college town. For example, there was a Blue Jackets home game that was the same evening as a Buckeyes away football game a couple years ago. To get people to come to the Jackets game, they advertised that they would play the OSU game on the Jumbotron and keep the arena open after the CBJ game & serve beer.

In fact, OSU draws about 3,000 for its baseball games, which is unheard of for northern teams.

By the way, I am actually an O's fan. I was a huge, huge fan of baseball growing up (probably because I played), but my interest has subsided a little. Anyway, I remember watching Ripken, Murray, Ken Singleton, Gary Roenicke, John Lowenstein, Al Bumbry, Rich Dauer, Jim Dwyer, Rick Dempsey, and all those guys. I was a HUGE fan.

I remember the game against the Brew crew (I think the Gorman Thomas years) in the early 80's. It was the final week-end of the season, going for the pennant. I think either Tippy or Denny Martinez was on the mound, and we got smoked like 11-2 or something.

I was the biggest Orioles fan back in the day...Eddie Murray my alltime favorite player...anytime you want to talk old O's baseball I'm sure I would be up for it...they had some great years, some very fun years for me...particulary from 1979-1983 .:suomi:

I' not sure but I think you're talking about 1982 season, I've madeseveral posts over the years here about that weekend

I happened to be at all 4 games, a friday night DH and the weekend , the Orioles were down by 3 games with 4 to play, we won the first 3 and lost on the final day, Earl Weaver's last game ...The final game Jim Palmer vs Don Sutton...the season came up one game short but it was just as memorable to me as 1979 and 1983, all those teams were so good and those seasons were so much fun.

Yeah, I think it was that week-end. Did Tippy Martinez start in one of those games? I probably got my facts a little confused. But hey, being that I was only 7 years old at the time, I was pretty pumped for that series.

Tippy was a reliever, the closer actually.

I remember Storm Davis who was a rookie pitching game 1 friday night against Vuckovich who won the CY Young in 1982.
