9-3 Sat/518-407YTD

Great Saturday 9-3 cashing most of the big plays and 1-4, for 5/7 top plays yesterday (Butler still makes me angry going to OT) . Nailed my analysis of the Villanova/DePaul matchup calling for a blowout and it was a smackdown. No time for detailed writeups today unfortunately, unless wife gives me a few minutes later to my thoughts to keyboard (all in the head now).

Thought I had replied to everyone in Saturday's thread earlier but it wasn't there until just now. Had Sunday's thread ready to go an hour ago and it wasn't there. Must be getting old and forgetful, my apologies. Here it goes for Sunday/Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.

UMass-6-115

Hawaii+6
Temple-3-115
Nevada-6

Nevada/GT Over 140-118

Top plays: Umass, Nevada/GT over

Thanks Rum, you too! Temple was tough but went with slightly better team, who's played slightly better competition. Maybe wrong here but went with gut as I have them 5-6 pts better.
May raise Nevada in a bit, really do like them in this spot as well.

TCU/Hawaii Over 147-115 (Top play)

After thinking about it more, Nevada-6 is a TOP PLAY. Here's why: In Champ games closing out tourneys experience matters. Nevada. They crushed Temple by 24 and then a very good TCU team by 13. This team is more experienced that doesnt get rattled in tight spots, and they rank in the top 40 in the nation in experience and minutes continuity. Further, Steve Alford is a better coach than the new coach Stoudemire, with Alford not only having plenty big game experience as a player but also over 20 years as a Head Coach at this level. These are the intangibles that help in these type of games. Further, GT isn't a great shooting team, only averaging 29% from 3, and also well below average from the FT line, hitting only 67%.

Nevada shoots better from both lines, 33% from 3 and 74.2% from the FT line, where they rank 66th. They also shoot a healthy 47% from the rest of the field. Nevada is also a solid 85th in scoring offense (GT is 185th giving up 71 PPG), and rank above avg for gathering boards at 136th, and a offers a Stingy defense giving up only 65 points a game, ranking 49th in scoring Defense , while GT scores an avg 72 pts a game, where they rank 244th. GL all.

So, the Wolf Pack gets fouled with 1 second left and he actually made both right after the dude before him misses both. Thanks to the second dude, we come away with the W!

yes, that was wild...and the other Nevada guy that kept missing FT's was making me angry, 2 that were in and rimmed out...luckily the ball bounced our way at the end!

Yes and that foul with 1 second left was totally not meant to happen. Everybody was just on the floor with hands all over the place. We actually got lucky with that foul and we’ll take it 🤩

it wasnt handicapping that won those, it would have been lucky or unlucky no more than a 7 point lead whole 2nd half but its a win

Na bah humbug lol… that ish happens all the time and I told others the -6 was very tight but Nevada clearly better shooting team and rebounding team and that sure paid off the last minute. shooting and rebounding edge pays off to win champ games late as I said but the oddsmakers had this one sharply picked at -6 but I took my chances with the better team and coach…Also Nevada missed a few FT late and jumpers that would have cleared the cover a little easier. Good to have it go our way late at least …Merry Christmas to you and yours run

FYI-I’ve now been told by several there’s a tout stealing all my plays and selling my picks. Don’t think he posts here but views.

How would you all handle this??? This infuriates me and the fact people who aren’t good are selling picks in general and now taking ALL my plays (he used to only play unders and lots of half time bets and rarely NBA and never NCAA bball until I went on my recent huge run but now has all of mine every day and in every sport )…yet I do this for free and on my own TIME (tons of hours go into this)…

I may have to re examine what I’m doing …

It is absolute BS for somebody to do that. Also, anybody who pays for picks, is an idiot! I’ve never paid for a pick. I followed a guy called Bartender on a now defunct forum called Bettors Pub. Sports betting became illegal in California, so I got out of the game. I recently heard about Fliff, who found a loophole, so I got back in the game and found Pirate, who thus far is fantastic. If you search hard enough, you will find somebody good who’s willing to share. If you are good, you don’t need to sell picks. Selling picks is a gimmick, because you suck and can’t make money betting :)

I wish I could remember. This was over 20 years ago. College hoop was his thing, especially 2nd half lines. There was no live betting back then!
