I think we should start one of these threads for each day there's CFL action as an open forum of sorts to discuss news, notes, and opinions on the game, whether you're betting them or not. Half the battle is picking winners... the other half is avoiding losers.

Today, I've got a miserable time analyzing the card. Montreal was down right embarassing last week, but come home to play a Hamilton team with a question mark at QB and without their spark plug running back. Grumblings have got to start wandering over Popp's head, which makes me believe, particularly with the Toronto win yesterday, this is an absolute must win for the Alouettes. If I had to go somewhere with this game, I'd lay the 9, but I'm not doing anything unless someone else has a strong opinion on the outcome that I'm not seeing (much like Toronto yesterday... thanks Woody).

As for the Sasky game... Calgary is an absolute mess, but this is a ton of points for a road team to be laying in this league. I don't know why I have this feeling, but I just sense that something's going to wake the Stamps up this week... whether it's a Joffrey Reynolds massive run, a defensive stop, a special teams miracle, SOMETHING... I just think the Stamps are going to find a way to win this game because they really have to if they want to win the Grey Cup. I know there's absolutely zero justification for it, but again, gun to head, I'd take the Stamps and the points. I've already taken a rather small shot on them on the ml, but I'd rather not take a serious side in this game. If the Stamps look like they did last week and the Riders look like they did last week, this is another one of these random CFL 46-4 games.

Games are tomorrow AFL - it's our thanksgiving weekend so Monday is a holiday.

Note Hamilton will be missing Jesse Lumsden - he has been shut down for the season.

Keith Charlton is a monster and should create havoc in the Montreal backfeild, disrupting AC.

Montreal's pass defense is very good at home, Printers coming off a hamstring injury is a question mark.

As for the Stampeders you are right about them being a mess they fired their DC at the start of the week and may have to start their 3rd string QB.

Don't over think the this game - I think you are holding on to thought sof CFL past with your anything can happen theories. Games that have have had massive line movement like this Sask game -3 to -7.5 are still covering the last number at an amazing 83%

This is a revenge game for Sask who got carved by CGY mid sept 44-22. Sask can bury calgary and secure a home PO date with a win here.

Tough to win on the road in CFL but the good teams do - BC - Sask - Winn.

See you tmr.

calgary's quarterback is terrible man, you're right..sask might just pound them by a large margin, but they will at least cover 7, 8 points even with their defense stepping up

I think both favourites cover as HH suggests. Even if Printers plays, he hasn't had much practice time with the Hamilton offense.

I teased Montreal with the Falcons so I have them at -2.5 and a smaller amount at -8.5. Saskatchewan I teased with Toronto so I have them at -1.5. I still like them at the current -7.5 but not as much as I liked Toronto-11.

You could take a 6 point teaser looking for Montreal-2.5 and Saskatchewan-1.5 if you play these bets.

HAMILTON +9 over Montreal
I think Montreal will be looking ahead to the home and home against Toronto which will give Hamilton a chance here. I don't know if the Ti-cats can win in Montreal but they should stay within 9 points being offered at Pinnacle. Montreal cannot afford to look ahead but sometimes it's impossible. Also, Hamilton's QB situation has improved dramatically since the beginning of the season. Printers may get the start but if he falters, Williams, who has been quite productive for the Ti-Cats, is there to come in.

SASKATCHEWAN -7 over Calgary
McMahon stadium is usually a very tough place for a Western Conference foe to play but Calgary really miss Burris and his replacement is greener than green. The Roughriders will still miss Dominguez but Fantuz and Flick have stepped up and Fantuz captured the Offensive Player of the Month honours for September. This is a pivotal game for Saskatchewan as a win will all but guarantee a play-off game at home.

Good Luck
