San Antonio @ Minnesota
Pick: San Antonio +15

San Antonio is winless, but covering games (3-1 ATS). There is also plenty of hope to improve as Kelsey Plum saw her first NBA action on Thursday. Plum was the first overall selection in April's WNBA Draft and played against Dallas after missing San Antonio's first three games because of an ankle injury. The team scored 82 points, the highest point total of the season by 10 points. The Stars are on a 16-7 spread run after a defeat. Minnesota is a big favorite at home, but has little reason to go all out with a three-game trip on deck. Minnesota has failed to cover four of its last five home games, including the last one, an 80-78 win over Connecticut as a -12.5 favorite. Look for the visitors to slow the pace down and hang within this huge number.

Nationals -1.5 +120

We will go with the same play as yesterday. The Padres just cant generate any runs playing in a ball park in which the Nationals thrive. Washington can put up a crooked number on the board in any given inning so it would take a rare monster night out of the Padres bats to keep up.

(927) Baltimore Orioles at (928) Houston Astros
MLB
Date/Time: May 28, 2017 2PM EDT
Play: Total Under 8.5 (-105)

The AL East Baltimore Orioles and AL West Houston Astros continue their Memorial Weekend series at Minute Maid Park today with a scheduled first pitch at 2:10 p.m. ET when long reliever Alec Asher (1-2, 2.17 ERA) takes on Cy Young candidate Lance McCullers Jr. (5-1, 2.43).

The Orioles have the tough task of attempting to avoid a sweep today in Houston. Not only are the birds having a difficult time at Minute Maid this holiday weekend they aim at halting a six-game losing streak.

O's starter, Asher, has replaced veteran right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez in the rotation and does so with only his third start. Asher was able to extend his pitch count and work six innings in each of his previous two turns but his fly ball tendencies cost him in his last start against the Red Sox in which he surrendered two home runs. Asher's last outing was this past Wednesday in two innings of relief against the AL Central first place Minnesota Twins so it isn't a stretch to believe he will be limited to 80-90 pitches today versus Houston.

Astros' starter, McCullers, enters with a 22-inning scoreless streak, three outings that all resulted in victories - a dominating stretch that has seen him allow zero earned runs over a five game span. McCullers won each of his previous two career starts against Baltimore, yielding two runs and five hits while striking out 21 in a mere 14 frames.

For you daily fantasy sports cash league players it is obvious that Clayton Kershaw will the top, highest priced, pitching option Sunday. Look at McCullers as a less expensive starter and one that squares off against a Baltimore team hitting just .250 against righties
