Yesterday I went 7-0 proving that even a blind hog can find an ear of corn now and then.

I was 2-6 on Fri. which just goes to show that a person should not get too discouraged over one bad day nor should they get too excited over one good day.

Cin +1.5 -124
Bale/Robertson
Hou not scoring much lately with the exception of beating up on a wounded Kerry Wood.

Mil -140
Meadows/Sheets
Milwaukee is 5-0 on their current home stand, Pit is 1-4 on their road trip.

Atl/Col under 12.0 -101
Ortiz/Stark
Both pitchers pitching well. Atl o/u is 2/5 in their last 7 with both overs being by 1/2 run. Col o/u is 1-4-1 in their last 6 with the over being by 1/2 run.

SF -115
Pavano/Rueter
The Giants are 5-0 on their home stand while Fla is 0-5 on the road. The Giants keep winning even without Barry.

NY Mets +1.5 -124
Glavine/Brown
Glavine has found his form in recent games. The Dodgers are favored here because of Brown but the Mets should keep it close.

Ana -159
Shields/Maroth
Maroth is 2-6 in his last 8 and Detroit's bullpen keeps serving up beach balls. Anaheim has proven that they can be down by 5 runs and still come back on this hapless Detroit team.

Ana/Det over 8.5 +107
Ana has averaged 7.5 runs in this series while Det has averaged almost 7. Add them up and you get over 14.

your plays look very solid.. however rueter is making 1st start off the DL, against a good fla team.. i realize that you dont go against giants at home, however i had it a no-play, still a very solid looking card..

Thanks for the input SSI. I had reservations on the SF/Fla game also since Fla had been keeping it close. I just figured that if SF could beat Atlanta at home, even with close games that they could beat Fla also.

Detroit is giving Anaheim a chase but the over went over in the 2nd inning.

Identity, I was thinking about the Braves but didn't want to push my luck. Any reason you like them big?

no question about it, SF is dynamite at home,, however i have a rule about going with a pitcher in his first start off the DL.. and to top it off Reuter is 4-5 with an above 5 era against the fish.. im not lobbying for a marlin play as the giants are 5-0 against fla this season and sport a fantastic home record.. Just a no play..

Detroit hits a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to beat Anaheim. Oh well. I still think it was a good bet. Plenty of time to make money off the Tigers in later games.
