Anyone know of a lawyer familiar with SUGEF registration and operating a financial services company and/or bank in Costa Rica??

BTW, also looking for a decent lawyer who charges $100-200 per S.R.L. setup (given I'll be setting up several); and not the $1000-2000 that "asset protection" lawyers want to charge dumb foreigners who aren't in Costa Rica.

Yes, but not 'till next year. But there are no latino prices in the US. And I don't tip either 'cause I just pretend I don't know about it.

yep but you are aware of something called the IRS , right? aka the Gringo Tax police (different kind of gringo tax of course as this one you can't fix by sending a Tico to deal on your behalf )

State tax, city tax, Federal Tax, car insurance (mandatory of course), etc etc, there are many more Gringo Taxes up North than here and those up there you can NOT avoid, you get the idea ;)

Fuck the IRS, the IRA, "La Migra", Border Patrol, McDonalds, The Gap, Walmart, The Dollar Tree Store and all of those fuckers.

Do illegal inmigrants have to pay taxes too?

By the way, I do have car insurance here (full coverage), and its killing me. Is it cheaper in the US?

Yes, no tips. If the waitress is really really hot I'll give her a dollar and my e-mail.

Illegal immigrants can and many do pay taxes, remember that Al Capone went to jail NOT because of the activities of the mob but rather for not paying taxes.

Someone that gets insurance for the 1st time ....is going to pay even more than the INS costs because they have no 'historical record' of their driving....for all they know...this person can cost them bunches of $ if they drive stupidly, so they play it safe, charge you a huge premium...and a few years later ....if you didnt end up being a 'taxista' they will lower the amount.

btw since I am not gringo I dont pay the 'gringo tax' here but the problem is .....that its not a 'gringo only' tax anymore......try going to buy a house....prices already include a 'tico that has money ' tax

luckily for us all....the economy and its cycles correct ridiculous abuses when buying land or contracting goods.

No, illegal immigrants don't have to pay any taxes at all. As for the car insurance, just stop by the nearest INS office in the U.S., they offer the cheapest car insurance.
