Even though Oklahoma demolished everyone in their path until running into the Kansas St buzzsaw, I look for LSU to win this game straight-up, and half of the National Championship along with it. The Sooners will never be able to run on the LSU defense, forcing White to win the game with his passing. Can he do it? I doubt it. The Tigers are loaded, and I consider them every bit as talented as the Sooners. Stoops is probably the best coach in college football at this point, but he will meet his match in Saben. Question is can LSU score on the Sooners' great defense? It won't be easy, but the Tigers have as good an OL as the Sooners have seen, and fleet RBs will be coming out of the woodwork. I also rate the Tigers' Clayton a bit higher than the Sooners' Clayton. You'll see why when you watch the game. We'll get to see the nation's top two DTs in the same game in LSU's Chad Lavalais and Oklahoma's Tommy Harris. In fact, there will be a lot of pro talent strutting their stuff. This will be one of the great championship games of our time, and I am looking forward to it very much. I look for a close, hard-fought game, with the Tigers coming out on top at the end.

I've done remarkably well on these teasers during the bowl season. It's something I started with MNF, winning most of them, and it carried over to the bowls. This seems to be a particularly strong one.

And sorry Kojak but that LSU offense won't score 28 pts vs this Oklahoma defense in 2 GAMES LOL....

LMFAO...Before the Oklahoma/Kansas St game the line on the National Championship game was Oklahoma -11.5 vs anyone and everyone basically knew it was either USC or LSU...Thats right 11.5. Now some line value since that Kansas State game...You also state they only played 3 tough teams, well they beat Texas by 52 and Oklahoma State by 43, OUCH!!!!!

NY Reb you addressed the key to the game in your analysis...Smart smart man. Can the LSU offense score on the Oklahoma defense??? They won't score much....

Can be explained very easily....Match-ups and emotion. I was on Miss, Wash St, Ohio St and Arkansas(my Bowl GOY)...I'm not going to justify each play but as far as match-ups Ok State's defense wasn't going to stop Mississippi on offense and thus was the case however, almost ended up sucking hind tit with Mississippi because they couldn't stop Oklahoma State( although Mississippi did hold LSU to 17 points, INTERESTING!!!). Missouri's defense did not match-up well vs Arkansas' running game thus a huge mis-match when that occurs in a Bowl game. Now to the emotional factors. Texas was unhappy being in that Bowl game as they truly believed they deserved a BCS Bowl. Personally I believe any team coached by Mack Brown only deserves the Toilet Bowl LOL. And as far as Kansas St their team wasn't emotionally into their game especially at the beginning of the game due to circumstances outside of football. Plus Coach Tressel of Ohio State has a decided match-up advantage over Coach Snyder of Kansas State(also Ohio State was a 7pt underdog even though they were ranked higher in the BCS poll)...So there you have it, take it for what it's worth...

All I do know is the LSU offense DOES NOT and I repeat DOES NOT match-up well vs the Oklahoma DEFENSE!!!! LSU should have trouble scoring vs the Oklahoma defense. Of course, I'm not taking anything away from LSU's defense ranked #1 and is very good. LSU will hold Oklahoma down some, to 31pts

....Considering Oklahoma averaged 40+ points per game 31 is good LOL...

P.S. And another thing Mr De Niro handicapping comparing scores is for Ham'n Eggers. If it were that easy every clown would win betting sports. Besides looking at both coferences in the Bowls neither conference is a bargain....

Guys, just noticed that Smokeywins (Chuck) says LSU is the best bet he's seen in years. Only confirmed the way I feel. I was tempted to put another 15* on this game, but decided that was tempting fate. Anyway, that's how strongly I feel about this. We can make back some (or all) of that money we lost yeterday with this one.

Oklahoma is killing themselves! Penalties, TO's, bad passes. They have more time than they think. If they just relax and play their game the WR's are open. To many dropped balls. They are having success running the ball but they are adamant about passing. What is it with all of the coaches wanting thir QB's to throw for 500 yards???
