I've watched the replay over and over, I can't help but see that there was contact before the ball got to the receiver, basically Butler shoved the receiver out of the way before the ball got there, but it was so fast and I understand the argument that the defender has a right to ball.... What do you guys think?

the defender has every right to the ball as much as the receiver if he is facing the ball. you can watch it 10 million times and its not PI

Not a chance that was interference, he was going for the football and had position. He has a right to that football

Agree with the last three posters. No way that was PI.

In fact..... I was very happy to see that play...... for those brief few seconds....... we were really watching FOOTBALL again. Not this pissy-assed tea party they are trying to turn the NFL games into!

No PI on the play however Hawks did perform Offensive PI on one of those deep routes which should've caught a flag. But both sides did things that should've drawn flags or increase in penalties. Games over, Pats won, case closed.

I also believe the rule is within 5 yards from the line of scrimmage you can have contact with the receiver.

There was clear interference on the play, offensive Interference with the pick clearing out room for the slant

Not by my reckoning. But who hasn't seen it called many times for far more ticky tack BS than what they let slide there?

The play was NOT P.I. Wilson threw a terrible pass. It is that simple. He should have held on to the ball.
