Could someone direct me to where I can find legitimate SOS rankings? I am in a debate with a buddy who says Iowa's SOS is much tougher than Arizona's. I personally think they are very similar.... Thanks!

I use the congrove computer rankings

Thanks OKSTATE! Looks like Congrove has Zona 33 and Iowa 56.

Kind of surprising actually. I thought they'd both be lower than that considering the Pac-10 and Big-10 are pretty mediocre.

Thanks AA, but I completely disregard Sagarin...He has the ACC as the top conference in NCAAF. His top 4 teams for SOS are all ACC. Not a credible source IMO.

I think you ought to read his notes on methodology with the conference ratings. They're heavily weighted toward middle-of-the-conference teams, not the top two or three or worst two or three.

Year over year Sagarin is about the most accurate, in my experience.

It sounds like you might be looking for a power rating that fits an already preconcieved notion you already have. In that case just make your own.

AA- Thanks for the input. Didn't mean to offend you. I just don't personally think Sagarin's ratings are legit even though I prolly could use them in my discussion with my buddy. I know the Pac-10 is bad and figured Zona would have a lower SOS, but not by the margin that he was claiming.

Dizzle- Thanks for your input. I saw another rating giving a ton of SOS love to Utah St...BYU, Utah, Oregon and Boise must really have boosted that up.
