I got an email today from Skybook in which I was offered a 30% bonus for a deposit up to $500 in new money.
I transferred $500 and asked for the bonus. Strangely I was denied the bonus because I have not completed my rollover from my signup bonus. There remains about $2000 in rollover.
It's only 3 weeks since I opened the account. Most people here talk positively about the book. This is not a positive experience.

friendly advice:

before ever sending any money always get the details in writing.... Skybook has an Instant Message feature to talk to Customer Service.... what I do is launch that sucker.... ask all the questions I need too.... & then copy & paste the details of the response.....

ONLY THEN SEND THE MONEY..... otherwise there is a chance something goes wrong like it did in your case.....

I dont really think they did anything wrong because they may have had this policy in place & they do advertise that there are some conditions.... after all it is a re-load Bonus not really meant for 'funded customers' I guess (especially if they just got another type of Bonus & havent completed the terms yet)

this is an unfortunate circumstance but I do not see that SKYBOOK erred here

NCAA Basketball is back!

As a season opener special Skybook's giving you up to 30% in bonuses. Hurry, act now! This is a 1 day only special. (Available on deposits up to $500 on 11/11/2004 only. )

  • 30% Bonus will be given in the form of a 20% Bonus Play and 10% Cash Bonus.
  • Deposit amount must be greater than the previously withdrawn sum.
  • 4X Rollover on the cash bonus and 2 x on Bonus Play winnings.
  • Available on deposits up to $500 on 11/11/2004 only.
It doesn't say anything concerning the case in question. Therefore, I would assume he is entitled to the bonus, with the restrcition that NO funds can be withdrawn until ALL rollovers are met.

That would seem fair.

I have a different case but with utlize the IM suggestion and report back on my situation. As the promo is stated, there is no way for me to meet the restrictions imposed.

Exactly assassin.

I 'talked' to Mike and assured him, that I would meet all rollover requirements, but the answer was still NO

You are now chatting with 'Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager'
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: Welcome to Skybook Sportsbook... Pioneers of the Free Half Point!
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: This is Mike. How may I help you today?
x: Hi. You emailed me a promotion concerning a 30% reload deposit, good only today
x: My last withdrawl was $1600+, but it says max new deposit for the promotion is only $500
x: I withdrew my funds becuase I was not getting the free half point and your baseball lines, were, well, not competitive
x: how should we proceed
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: Correct. This promotion likely appeals to small depositors.
x: Can I depsoit $500 and get the 30% bonus?
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: How much are you considering to deposit?
x44521: or not
x44521: Well, promotion says I am limited to $500
x44521: BUt I would consider more if required
x44521: Make me an offer to discuss or consider
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: You can receive the benefits of our free 1/2 points by simply depositing $500 or more
x44521: But no bonus?
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: To participate in today's NCAA OPENER special, you would need to deposit back what money you took out PLUS
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: You see, we would love to have you with us, but we cannot offer you a deposit bonus until previous withdrawals are first replenished
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: This since deposit bonuses are offered for customers that would likely need an incentive to deposit after they have lost.
x: I fully understand. But will pass at this time as a $100 Bonus Play and $50 cash for a $2100 deposit does not really seem attractive at this time
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: Correct.
x: I would suggest your IT run a querry and not send these offers to customers who do not qualify.
Mike- Customer Care Dept. Manager: I hope you will reconsider later with the free half point program benefits!
x: thank you for your time and consideration

as you can see, not much flexibility. But he was very nice, polite, and considerate. I did appreciate his taking the time and candor

Skybook did nothing wrong here in my opinion. It's only fair that if they are going to give out bonuses on top of earlier bonuses, it should start the rollover again for both bonuses. Yes, they could have come out and said so I suppose, but nothing wrong in my opinion.

Similar experience

Skybook sent me an email on 31 October saying they would give a 100% freeplay bonus on deposits up to $250, on that day only (Halloween bonus). I hadn't previously funded my account.

I deposited $500 because I wanted to qualify for the free half-point as well and got back an email saying thanks and all, and that the rollover requirement was

"It may only be used over the internet and the deposit + Bonus Play must be rolled over at least once before you can cash out the account."

I bet the $250 freeplay and lost and have made another $250 wager which is still to be settled. I thought I had fulfilled the rollover requirement at this point.

Yesterday I received the same email as the OP and I too deposited $500 to claim the 30% bonus.

Unlike the OP they accepted my bonus claim but say that my total roll-over requirement is $4000! which they calculate as 4 x ($250 + $250 + $500).

As they say in the classics, WTF??
