I drove cab about 8 years. Had to start in NLV. Had to park at Jerrys Nugget. COuld park on Fremont. I am old fuk. Long time ago. Other poster Fishhead used to drive also. Robbed twice. My other guy I shared a cab with was murdered.

Sorry to hear that. I couldn't trust all those random people getting in my cab, not to mention at least half of them are wasted.

Most tips (just tips) in a day was about $115-$120... lowest tips was $25-$30ish

he wasn't impressed with the asians gals that gave him 90 cents or whatever. (I don't blame him for that)

cab drivers live off the tips.. they barely break it with the share of the profits between expenses.

Back in college when I bartended, if I didn't make a C-note, I considered it a bad night.

My best night was when it was Cinco De Mayo on a Friday night...I worked my ass off but made over 550 dollars!

I think a couple of bucks is fair, depending on the fare or if I had to wait while they did something.

$2 or less SUCKS!!! $2 or more is quite fair imo.

$0 absolutely sucks.... Mostly people of middle eastern descent or those from south of the border never tip. The fare could be $11.30, they will give you $12, and stick their hand out for the $0.70 change. Or they will give you exact change......

The massage joint is in a little run down strip mall off the strip. They charge $140 to get to the back room. They joint gives me $100 of it, and they keep the $40. The girl then makes whatever she can on "Tips" I am guessing.

How long have you lived in Vegas to know how to do these deals ?

I'm thinking a rookie cabbie would need time to learn these things !

Ive been here for YEARS lol... and Im learning by trial and error, plus other cabbies are quite helpful

Part time is only Tues Wed and Thurs. If you want to work the weekend you have to work 5 days.

Hours are 12 hr shifts starting at 2 3. Or 4... am or pm
