I agree that rumor spreading serves no useful purpose and is more harmful than helpful, but I don't think it can have too big an impact.

How many people do you know who have pulled out money from a reputable sportsbook based on such a rumor? I have never heard of anyone like that.

I don't know who Bill could of possibly been talking about

.

But my take is that if you know something and you can't say it, you can at least get your followers out and help them not suffer a loss with a general warning specific to size and location.

BUZZ- I got the Costa Rica part figured out. Now could you please list all of the books in CR that you would percieve as MID-LEVEL? Thanks...that is the part I am having trouble evaluating personally.

Buzz: out of WHERE? It does no good when you're that vague, IMO. We're just supposed to pull our cash out of all mid-size books? What about the impact on the other books if everyone just ran out? And what if this book doesn't go down?

The problem is that unless you're specific, then for people like me it does no good.

If its going down I wonder why Buzz can't say. His readers would be able to get out possibly. There must be a good reason. I am curious. I hope the answer is not they have a chance to make it or sell. Then we have GA all over.

Buzz, why did Blue Marlin go from considered for recommendation to a D rating almost instantly?

First of all, there are some new developments as of last night. I think everything is going to have a happy ending. Me mentioning names would certainly not help.

I kind of thought we were talking hypothetically here. What's a mid-size book? It's probably easier if you just stay with the big books in CR. We all know who they are; CRIS, Rio, Hollywood, Cascade, Heritage, BOS, FirstFi, 5Dimes, Jazz, even Sportbet is a large book, ect.

wow I had a flashback from the 80's when I saw the title of this thread.

could it be that Shrink was thinking of the RUN DMC old school rap hit "you talk too much" ?!

". . . .You're always spreading rumors, whether bad or good / You're the damn Walter Cronkite of the neighborhood / The Barbara Walters, and the Howard Cosell / You always come around, with a story to tell / You talk too much And then you never shut up . . . ."
