Week 11

///

Thursday:

///

Carolina (-3' -100) (vs NOr) Put the line in parenthesis because I wanted to get this up but I'm hoping for a -3 by gametime. We'll see.

This is it for the Panthers. If they don't win this game last year's SB loser can kiss this season goodbye. They are 3-6 and already 0-2 in the Division. Last week they blew a 17-3 4th Q lead to lose at Home to Kansas City. Embarrassing sums up their season thusfar. Before their 3 point loss to the Saints a month ago on 10/16 in N'Awlins, they had beaten the Aints four straight. They already lost their first two spotlighht games this year. All the psychological motivations are in place for the Panthers. Now or never.

Friggin' Carolina. That's the second consecutive week they allowed their opponent to score 17 unanswered points. Except this time it cost me a half point loss. Don't like those boys right now.

On to Sunday:

///

Indianapolis -2' -110 (vs Tenny)
I know Tenny feels like the right side of this line. DeMarco Murray is playing great. Mariotta is playing great. Buuuutttt.... I have some pretty heavy stats to suggest that Indy is the king of the hill in this Divisional matchup. Tenny has lost 10 straight to Indy, going 2-8 ATS in the process. Indy is also 8-2 SU and ATS their last 10 off a bye, 5-0 SU and ATS when the after bye game is in the Division. Good luck if you choose to ignore those stats.

Detroit -5' -105 (vs Jax)
Detroit has quietly snuck to a tie for the Division lead by winning four of their last five games. The team they are tied with, Minny, has lost four straight. You think the Lions are smelling success for the first time in forever? I do. And today they are off their bye facing a team who has lost four straight, Jacksonville. In their last five games the Jags have lost the ball 12 times while picking up ZERO turnovers. In their five wins the Lions haven't beaten anybody by more than today's impost - 6 points. Today the Lions get the prey they need to make a statement.

More coming.

Chicago +7 -116 (@ NYG)
Gonna guess that Cutler is happy to be away from Soldier Field after last week's miserable performance in Tampa Bay. Time to get it together before he has to face the boobirds next week at home. It's time for a Giant letdown. Monday night they nipped the Bengals, winning their fourth straight. Their next two games are against the Bears and the Brownies. Time for the air to come out of the Giant football.

Arizona +2' -108 (@ Minny)
Minny started 5-0 and has since lost four straight. Zona started 1-3 and has since gone 3-1-1. Both are fighting for their Divisional lives. I'll take the points.

Dallas -7' +113 (vs Balty)
The team with the best record in Foots at home against a team who got their five wins over all teams with losing records. OK.

Miami +1 -108 (@ LAR)
I know, the Fins have had to swim from coast to coast for two consecutive weeks now. But they have won four straight and are now facing a team that already lost at home to Buff and Carolina. The Fish are the much better team here. I'll break the East Coast to West Coast rule and take the points with the best team.

San Francisco +11 -105 (vs NEn)
It was Dec 16, 2012, when Colin Kaepernick came to New England in the freezing Sunday night rain and knocked the Pats off a 7 game winning streak, in his fifth NFL start. He would go on to lead his team to the Super Bowl where they would bow to Baltimore , 31-34.Yep. One knee National Anthem jerk, Colin Kaepernick. How quickly fortunes change in the NFL. But having the thought of that game in the back of his head can only be a good thing for Crapopy Kappy. He also has Carlos Hyde back at full strength to help him today. The Pats will be in natural letdown mode. Had a four straight win streak (both SU and ATS) busted by archrival Seattle last week in Foxboro. Now must travel West to the lowly Sanctuary City of San Francisco. Can you say letdown.

Philly +6' -100 (@ Seattle)
On the other side of that Patriot loss last week was Seattle, the team who beat 'em by throwing up a huge goalline stand in enemy territory as the clock ran out. Another letdown spot. Philly is 1-4 on the road but all losses have been within a TD. Seattle is only 2-5 ATS as a Favorite.

Sunday night:

Washington -3 +100 (vs GBy)
After Dallas, who is the hottest NFC team? That would be Washington who is tied with Seattle at 5-1-1 each over their last seven games. Tonight they get their second spotlight game this year. They opened the season getting threashed by Pittsburgh on Monday night. Additionally they face the team who embarrassed them in last year's Wildcard Round, Green Bay, who they lost to 35-18. So we have the best team with double motivation here. I'll lay the field goal.

Pittsburgh -8' +102 (@ Clev)
Big Ben is 20-2 lifetime against Cleveland. Here's one for ya. If he wins today he ties Derek Anderson for the most wins in Cleveland's stadium which has been home to the Brownies since 1999. Imagine an opposing QB having the most wins in your stadium? So it's Big Ben and his stable of thoroughbreds going against Cody Kessler and his young colts? Pit, having lost four straight, badly needs a win. Think they get a big one by the shores of Lake Eerie today.

Off to Family Fish on the marshes of Seabrook, NH. Gonna cost me about five or six hundy to feed about 20-30 people. All paid for by my winnings from Donald J Trump's election victory. Thank you Donald. Good luck today, guys and gals.

"Cleveland is not an 0-10 team". You're right, Denny. They're an 0-11 team.

Monday night:

Oakland -6' -107
Speaking of 0-10, guess who started the 2014 season 0-10? Tonight's very Oakland Raiders. Since that crappy start they have won all three of their spotlight games, covering two. In fact the game that broke that 10 game losing streak was a Thursday night win, 24-20, as 7' point dogs to Div rival Kansas City. So they went into this weekend tied with New England for the second best record in the NFL. They are playing a team, Houston, who got blownout in their two earlier road spotlight games this year. Oh yea, Oakland has covered their last 8 road games. Make it nine.
