I almost never bet this much. Maybe the first time in 4-5 years and only my 4th or 5th 10k+ wager in my betting career. But after withdrawing 10k last week from Pinny and getting back up to another 10k right after, I have been shamelessly pounding away on 10k wagers the last two days. Started this morning with 20k and now im back to 20k. Had Rivera closed the game out I would have been at 40K (most ever). This fuckin blows...now its a matter of not snapping and trying to win it back. No sense in breaking in anything because im already up more than I could have ever dreamed. Time to pound something on SNB.

Scott Proctor comes in, and gets the A's 1-2-3 I believe in the 8th.
Mariano comes in and gets two QUICK outs.
Todd Walker didnt have a hit all day
then he has a battle and gives up a walk
then he has the count at 0-2
I mean he could TOY with the guy and instead MARIANO goes with it RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE
and it hits the foul pole! it's not like Mista lost on something simple
a LOT of shit had to go wrong in order for him to lose this game!

i understand losing like this is bad. It's better to lose 10-0 than w/ two outs in the bottom of the ninth w/ the best closer in the history of baseball.

Lucky for me and other Oakland backers it worked out. There will always be a handful of games each year where something memorable happens like this w/ a bet. I'm happy if I go 500% w/ them.

Didn't work out for me, as stated earlier, hno:was just pointing out that w/ men on, it wasn't over. Too old to hang at Tink's, used to visit there in my single days, though. Nice to hear from someone around the corner. :toast:
